george bush assassinated

You'd need a policeman the size of a country...

You sir, have a very weird idea of what treason is.

Well here in Britain, treason is the betraying of your queen and country. Tony Blair lied to the entire country about the weapons of mass destruction and ordered the Army to assist the US Army in attacking Iraq and then occupying it in extremely hostile conditions. He sent hundreds of British soldiers to their death for a lie, if thats not treason, then I dont know what is..

Treason. (Noun): An act of betraying one's country and the State by fighting against it alonside the enemy.

I dont know what heavily edited version of the dictionary you're using but ...

trea‧son:
1. the offense of acting to overthrow one's government or to harm or kill its sovereign.
2. a violation of allegiance to one's sovereign or to one's state.
3. the betrayal of a trust or confidence; breach of faith; treachery.

I don't like Bush but I wouldn't like him dead. Lying in a street drinking cheap whisky and ranting like a hobo? Maybe. But dead? No...

That last link made me think, "Only in America would people elect the same stupid president twice".

Ah yes. I think I was too young to be arsed with politics :p

Yes i also breathed a sigh of relief when reading thread title. A great and dumb evil had finally been destroyed.

No! It is a joke! NOOOOO! The dumbass villain lives.

At the end of the English Civil War, in 1649, King Charles I was executed for high treason, establishing legal precedent for 'treason' being defined as a betrayal of the country and its populace as a whole rather than any monarch. He didn't honour his duty to serve his people (instead abusing, exploiting and finally making war on them), so he was guilty.

POW

Amazing how apparantly many people support the Death Penalty. I thought most people were starting to see the barbaric nature of it (not to mention its the cheap way out) :)
Life in prison ftw! :p

As bad as Bush is, if he got assassinated it probably wouldn't be a good thing. His cause would gain support.... then Rumsfeld would probably become the president or something. :O

Death sentences actually cost more than life imprisonment for some reason.

Anywho, I wouldn't mind if this were true.
I wouldn't celebrate, but I also wouldn't care.
The guy killed thousands of people via deceit and/or unjustifiable levels of criminal negligence.

If he weren't the president, he'd have gotten life in prison for sure.

I support Bush, I think the thought of killing him is terrible. Sad to think that hating Bush is actually becoming a fad. All of the sudden its "cool" to hate Bush especially among the youth. I'll probably get flamed for sticking up for him, but I really don't care, gotta support what you believe in.

so if you "believe in him" it should be simple enough to state the reasons why

ready? GO!

This is a shameful thread, and the majority of the reactions to it have made me utterly regretful that I call myself a member of this community. What makes you people better than Bush, if secretly(or not so) you hope for the murder of the man? Even if you don't value the human life which the name represents, it is still the office of the leader of the most powerful and free nation on Earth. What nation has done more to bring humanity together? To illuminate the path of liberty and justice? Yes America has made mistakes in the past, and personally I disagree with Bush and the war, but this doesn't justify the despicable loathing for the mans life.

To wish for someone's murder(or to be hypothetically greatful for it) only makes you a hateful person and nothing more. Not a superior, or greater, or smarter person. Only hateful to the core, and hate is the very thing which we must fight against in all of this.

GTFO with your rediculous, over-patriotic bullshit. Bush is responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands of innocent people (both civilian and military).

However, that's not to say that i think he deserves to die for his part in those deaths but i sure as hell wouldn't shed a tear if this thread's title were true...although i might have cracked a smile if i didn't already know what the thread was about....should i be ashamed of that? Maybe. Do i give a ****? Hell no!!

Stop being stupid. Stupid people have been saying 'lol suddenly it's cool to hate Bush damn kids' ever since he was elected for the first time. I suppose you didn't consider that maybe the reason everybody hates Bush is not because it's a 'fad' (whoever heard of a fad like that? That's boring!), but because he's either completely insane, absolutely evil, entirely incompetent, or a combination.

Have you been keeping track on the events of the last six years or so?

Duh! He's using the Korean one. Korean leaders can't betray their own country!

How is a nation free when people can't even call their leader out and get him to explain face to face why he's f***ed up so many times? Jesus, even here in Britain we can do that.

walken any day over ah-nold ...I dont have much confidence in someone who picked his political afflilation in this manner:

Ah-nold said:
I heard Nixon [during presidential election 1968] talk about it, he said open up the borders, the consumers should be represented there ultimately and strengthen the military and get the government off our backs. I said to myself, what is this guy's party affiliation? I didn't know anything at that point. So I asked my friend, what is Nixon? He's a Republican. And I said, I am a Republican. That's how I became a Republican."

Funny thing is, isn't Arnie against immigration now?

First off, don't call me stupid for having a difference of opinion. This community jumps all over you for either supporting Bush or having a belief in religion (especially Christianity). Second, yes it is a fad to hate Bush. Goto a High/Middle School and you find large groups of un-educated students, with no interest in politics or world events and they have a very strong opinion about Bush, most of the time, simply because someone they admire, has a hatred for him. Yes, it goes both ways. But it is especially clear with hating him because so many bands/celeberties have shown an outright hatred towards him.

I have to agree, I am regretful I am a member of this community. There is something wrong when you are called a over-zelous patriotic individual when you simply are proud of your country, stand behind it and roll with the punches. I am blessed to live in America and there's no where else I'd rather live. A little strange when most of the individuals who appear to hate America, don't even live here. Oh well, it's time to leave HL2.net.

I didn't call you stupid. I said you were being stupid. There's a very important difference.

I say that not because of your opinion, but because of your treatment of the opinions of others ("your views are just a fad!").

I don't care what you think of Bush, and you're entitled to your opinion.

If you can't appreciate these distinctions...well, I'm sorry to see you go, but I'm not going to apologise.

I don't care what some kids in middle America think. We are talking about this forum, and on this forum I'm criticising you for exactly the same thing I criticised No Limit for - belittling (whether intentional or not) the opinions of others by coming up with some bullshit excuse as to why they think what they think.

EDIT: And hating Bush is not a 'sudden' fad - I repeat, have you been paying any attention to politics at all in the last few years? People were hating Bush before he even got into office, my friend.

There's nothing wrong with being patriotic and proud of your country, but there is something wrong when you ignorantly stand by your government when what they're doing is blatently wrong. It's more patriotic to try and defend what your country stands and strives for even in the face of your leaders.

What Bush has been doing in the Middle-East is anything but keeping with American values.

excuse me? the majority of americans have IGNORED every last one of his crimes, from treason to lying to deceiving the american public ..yet no one holds him accountable ..oh and a handful of underage high school teens do not make a fad ..there are very valid reasons to hate bush but you're too blind to see them ..all you see is unreasonable hate when that's not even remotely true: there's nothing unreasonable about it

I have to agree, I am regretful I am a member of this community.

there's the door

There is something wrong when you are called a over-zelous patriotic individual when you simply are proud of your country, stand behind it and roll with the punches.

you are an over zealous patriot because despite all of the crimes commited by the bush admin you STILL refuse to see them ..even though they are as plain as day

I am blessed to live in America and there's no where else I'd rather live. A little strange when most of the individuals who appear to hate America, don't even live here. Oh well, it's time to leave HL2.net.

makes you look like the fool, slinking away just because you dont care for other people's opinions ..sorry but sulkdodd's criticisms of you were valid

I don't care what other people think of Bush, but I think that he's a cad and an utter rotter.
