Everyone's favourite walkthrough site, GameFAQs is holding its annual character battle competition.[br]Today's battle is our beloved Gordon Freeman against the typical, mercenary type character; Leon Kennedy who you may have seen in such games as Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4.[br]I've placed my vote, but Gordon is currently still losing, go over there and vote for everyone's favourite scientist-cum-alien ass kicker now![br]This news post will be updated with the results later on.[br]UPDATE: Gordon lost!!
 
Revolver Ocelot VS Pac-Man ? :/ That should be interesting fight...
 
This contest is rigged! They didn't put Gordon when he looks his best. Every new kids who come in will vote for the guy with the gun, not the guy with the glasses.

I'm not fixing what is a traditional english phrase on the basis that there's some dirty buggers in the world that would take it out of context :p
 
I've voted for Gordon... and I'm in this contest, and I picked Gordon to be the winner of this part. Vote, damn you!

Gordon ftw

They ruined Leon in RE4. In RE2, Leon was a cool character...but in RE4, they turned him into a cocky, one line spouting prick. He desrerves zero points.

if it turns into a competition between fanbois, gordon may have a chance, being a pc game and all, you can rally the fans like this site is doing. as far as a character goes, of course leon pwns gordon, cause leon actually TALKS! plus he has a body, and arms, and legs, and a shadow, and feet. you should put godon up against other arms in a competition, not characters. geez, re4 pwns hl2 to death, and leon pwns, but i still don't understand how you can call gordon a game character.

g4 did it right, they used alex vance, but i still think dog rules, and i could vote for dog over leon anyday, cause hes so damn cute :D
 
You can call Gordon a game character because he's a character in a game. Pretty obvious really. He's also one of the most well-known game characters.

Still, congratulations on a nearly-lucid post.

1: This is on Gamefaqs. The main HQ of pre-teen console fanboys. Most of them have never even laid their hands on Half-Life 1 or 2. Who cares what they think?
2: No-one cares. Seriously.
3: The character battles are some of the worst concieved polls I have ever laid my eyes on. Revolver Ocelot Vs Pacman. Seriously, can you be even more retarded?
4: You dont need a poll to know Gordon is awesome.

Revolver Ocelot vs Pac-Man is the funniest thing ive seen all week. Did they draw these names out of a hat?

Revolver Ocelot and Pac-Man are two very similar characters. One gets eaten by ghosts, one is in a game called Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. The subtle similarities are beyond human comprehension, you peasant!

Actually, you should change it because it implies that he's an alien. 'Scientist-cum-alien-asskicker' Would be better but it's full of dashes.
 
Gordon wins overall... but his zombie ass kicking skills just can't compete with Leons'.

Leon's zombie killing skills are nothing compared to Gregori's.
 
oh the gap is widening for leon. Kids aren't allowed to buy re4 (shouldn't be) its got bad language and its much more violent then hl2. and leon does have areally ghey euro raver haircut, but the presidents daughters is much hotter then alex.

yea, and gordon is just arms ;).

gman is cool though, dog too, but gordon? ill say it till i die, HES ARMS
