Wow, I wish I hadn't read that as cats are my favorites. I wish you would have had a deagle too--would've made the world a better place (despite what my sig might say ).Maybe because animals in general have a lower intelligence than most humans, and thus usually don't have as much ability to fend for themselves, some sick snobb **** over here in Sweden a few months ago were convicted for animal cruelty, he filmed it and put it on youtube, he and a few mates were at his barn that his parents own, they took the stable cat, threw it into the air, shotguned it, then again, then they picked up the corpse and threw it around, sick mother****ers make me wish I had a desert eagle to blow their brains out.
Or... it could be that the PC won't get any of them.PC has usually been released the following summer, however that was in the days of Sony exclusivity.
I'm more interested in what the downloadable content will be like. While it's been confirmed that the 360 and PS3 will get downloadable content, it's going to be platform exclusive. It could just be that the PC will get both and therefore the best of both worlds.
Plus mods are often far better than any downloadable content (usually).Considering it's being made for the 360 I would imagine it would be easily portable to the PC.
Mod's are made for GTA on the Pc. So even if they don't even give us the downloadable content, we will have Mods.
still the pc version is always worth waiting, updated graphics + user created content support + fast loadingAww man I never understood why they always released the PC version a year later. They should be large enough by now to have a second team working simultaneously on the pc version. BLEH...

And I can't imagine R* would be so stupid as to include new cars and outifts and such to the downloadable content--it should actually be worth something so the idea of whole new 'episodes' would be a great place to start, but does that mean downloadable missions? Would you guys pay for that? I am pretty certain I wouldn't at this point but I would have to see it first to be sure.
Well, considering the previous GTA games were primarily made for PS2, updated graphics for them weren't surprising, in most cases the XB version looked the same as the PC one only with a lower res ofcourse, I'm not entirely sure things will be the same this gen.still the pc version is always worth waiting, updated graphics + user created content support + fast loading
"Setting Grand Theft Auto in the safest big city in America would be like setting Halo in Disneyland,"
I think someone needs to explain to him about the game"The mayor does not support any video game where you earn points for injuring or killing police officers,"
Well, it does support killing Police personel. I mean, on the whole the Police force is portrayed very badly throughout the GTA series.
So actually I think it's perfectly reasonable for the mayor to say such a thing.
In previous incarnations, players advanced through the game by killing cops, selling pornography to children and killing prostitutes. Details of the latest version have not been released.
Yes but those generally aren't the protagonists, like in GTA. Also, the fact that the player of the game is doing it himself, wanting to do it, as opposed to watching it, makes it miles different as well.So what? It's ONE video game and there have been millions of movies where cops get shot by the bad guys, where people shoot hookers, where people rape women, where people torture other people, etc...
People do realize that you get punished for killing cops (via the "wanted" system), right?
God I hate reporters.
This is why video games need to be classified as art. Sometimes the game design decisions super cede political decisions. For example, I've heard people complain that there isn't a harsh enough penalty for doing the crimes you commit in the game... It's just an example of where the game takes away your weapons and some cash and starts you over. It doesn't start you back off at square one. People outside the games industry tend to view GTA as some sort of real-life simulator rather than a game.. And if people really believe real-life is accurately portrayed in the game, and thus there needs to be accurate consequences for your character, may Gordon Freeman beat them with a rusty crowbar because that's just a sad world they think they live in.

Haha, I noticed that as well... wtf?I knew they over simplified, exaggerated, bent the truth and spread misinformation... but they ACTUALLY made something up completely now.
There arnt even children in any of the games...
One word; BRIBES.
So? It still presents cops in a rather horrible light. It's not exactly going to please everyone for a politician to be all "Yeah, I embrace this game, you can kill cops and they're portrayed as bribe-taking bastards, too!"
I know it's a game, and they know it's a game. What's your point?
