Guns pfffttt....

Murders are never going to go away just get use to it and move on I say but if you don't like you do something about banning guns and I will be on oppossing side protesting to leave guns open to the public.

Uh, I spent almost half my life on drugs. And this crap about cocain is total bull. If I went into the drug buisness yeah it may be more expensive, but to go buy it on the street its not that much. I did ALOT of cocain and I am not rich. Yeah you could slap a bunch of crack heads after they smoke but crack heads would sell their children for their next hit. Crack heads would kill some one for their next hit. We havent even got into other drugs like, LSD, PCP, Chrystal, ect..... a lot of the drugs out there are stimulants or uppers.

well cocaine is expensive ...here it sells for $100/gram which a hardcore user could do in an hour. Not too many could afford that on a daily basis ..hence the development of crack ..which is much cheaper.

BTW when you say you spent half your life on drugs, which drugs were you refering to?

All I am saying is that guns are not the problem. People are the problem. If we take away guns, we will go back to bows and arrows, and probably more explosives.

not true ...out of 14,000 murders in 2002 only about 1000 involved blunt objects or knives ...over 9000 involved firearms. Take guns away and I'm sure that number would be substanstially lower

toronto has 50-60 murders a year, less than half involve guns ...in a city of 4 million ...name one US city of comparable size that has as little murders per year

tronto has 50-60 murders a year, less than half involve guns ...in a city of 4 million ...name one US city of comparable size that has as little murders per year

Well... if you say guns kill people ill have to keep an eye on mine. Not sure how much damage they could do unloaded and all, all by themselves in a drawer. But if you say they are dangerous.....




As opposed to outlawing one of my hobbies how about we work toward where the only people who have guns are cops, hunters, and people who enjoy collecting and firing them. If only people who fit into these categories had guns would we have a problem?

Its not like i dont have to pass a background check to take these things home. They dont just hand them out.

There are only a 1000 because there are still guns. Guns are a little easier to kill with. However if you take them away I would be willing to bet there would be an increase in the other forms of attacks.

It would be like saying, out of a 1000 people only 10 had anal sex. Now take away the Vagina and I am will to bet there will be an increase in anal sex.

yes but do you think there would have been an additional 13,000 incidents? I'm willing to bet it wouldnt be half that amount. there were only 225 justifiable homicides in that same year, so you cant factor that in

Although Ive basically disagreed with you this entire thread i have to say this was a very good point. Prison would be the best example.

Talking to people opposed to gun restriction is futile. You can shred their arguments (which are very weak to begin with) to pieces a million times and they just keep coming. They just stare at you blanky and chant "guns don't kill people guns don't kill people ooh ooh ooh." Logic has no place in this.

There are so many countries out there with sufficient gun laws, and do you see them using bows and arrows? No. Even if knife related crime would go up as guns were outlawed, I'd bet that the death toll would go down.

By your supreme logic, we should be able to make explosives, heavy machine guns and all kinds of nasty weaponry available to the public, because, as you say, they don't actually hurt people when left alone. The people hurt people.
