yes because wars that the past somehow justifies atrocities against civilians today ...it's the old "well if they killed civilians willy nilly then so can we" argument
Actually, my point was that war has always lacked humanitarian concern.
you miss the point of the thread ..it doesnt matter if the word was "unusual" or not (the washington post reported because they had a copy of the statement so for all intents and purposes the word itself is not as meaningful as the meaning behind the word
I think you intended to confuse the Marine Col.'s statements for the sake of dehumanizing him. Of course, with the added purpose of making monsters out of our soldiers and mountains out of mole hills reguarding this massacre, but this responsibility of yours is beside the point.
No, the point still is that the Haditha Massacre is a terrible instance and those involved must be delt with accordingly. But if it were me CptStern, I would attempt to preserve immediate judgement as there are crimes far worse unto the Insurgent side of things.
And on those, you have yet to comment.
