i know henkjan im just trying to be a smart ass [which im really bad at]. that made me laugh suferin rebel oh and xdiesp i will try and find it for ya and i will email the blood mod over tongiht oh and xdiesp in that picture of the sky is ur graphics card reallly that bad and how did u change the colour of the sky dont tell me its coded in and when you come out of tunnels u see a bright light if its dark wont it look wierd walking towards a bright light and then discovering a dark night???

kaotik_stalker: of course one tries to avoid situations like that (tunnels w/ light and later you put on a dark sky)

little change on the BB mechanics,see if you are pleased with it. Do you remember the drug stimpacks of Starcraft? Imagine that the BB's regen was an instant effect health bonus that leaves you +5 health,50% stronger/faster and 50% more vulnerable by consuming *all* your aux power: would you like it over the old "hold forever to replenish your health" feature?

many bothans have died to find you a little room on my hyper-filled webspace. On the same manual page,you can find the modified skies addon (still not debugged perfectly,though,please report any incongruences you see - the test may take a little long since the vistas are different through all the game,now)
 
are the skys ordered so that u dont go from pitch black to day to pitch black to dusk and such and what r the special ability sounds? and i cant email them to ya xdiesp let me know if theres a host u CAN donwload from

the skies are ordered as this:
day 1: dusk to night (yet ravenholm is red,because of the fires: is it good for you?)
day 2: night to dusk
day 3: various kinds of dusk

Days ago I had posted on the DLCSS forums a hopeless request for someone to hack the FAMAS default model to add it a silencer,and use it as Snake's machinegun. Yesterday TornSniperWolf showed up,worked all night and very kindly gave us both a viewmodel and a worldmodel in just *12* hours of application. People both good at modeling and life are few and rare,but I think it's only them that in the end will be still remembered

the AK47 is a recurrent request in my mail,so ok...Liquid Snake is a terrorist,after all,and his main M4A1 has never proven that much personality. What about this redistribution of machineguns:

sorry xdiesp im pretty lazy and that sounds pretty good altho dont give gordon the original ar2 i never liked that sugest a steyr aug maybe? oh and xdiesp theres a problem with 1 of ur grenade models i think ts the cluster flame 1 but im not sure anyway i have found a mod called project 22 that includes gibbing [along with soem nice cut ups of the fast zombie model ill give ya a link and maybe u could incorporate gibing into substance

hey xdiesp please dont tell me the sky materials r coded in and if u know of any tutorials on how to convert models from the ut2004 engine that would be great as i was playing raven shield and was wondering how cool they would look i have no intention of doing them as v models but i think it would be cool to have ur enemies runing around with l85's or tar-21's tho

I'm going to play Substance for the first time soon. I've been watching and waiting since December when just the first few levels were completed.. and now with the completion of 1.2 and my purchase of a new PC, now is the time for me to take on the challenge.

For someone like myself who finds the normal "Hard" mode slightly too easy, what difficulty level should I give myself on Substance?

Medium or Hard?

I will admit I am a little intimidated by Hard because I loaded up Route Kanal on Hard in Substance.. and the first few minutes were incredibley difficult... The green Combine guy kept wasting me with ease.

I like a challenge but I also like to keep moving through the game.. I don't think it's enjoyable when you have spend an hour per every single little fight... 10 times, just to advance a few minutes in the actual game... So whats everyones opinion?
 
you should try hard first, if it's too easy(i think it's too easy) then try extreme italian
(i think extreme italian is too easy too, i requested xdiesp to make it harder)

i play on god mode cuz im usually just testing it and seeing all the guns mmmmmmmm i like guns and other stuff but i have been playing it normally lately duno what dificulty tho oh well
 
suffering rebel: yes, i am. i dont think extreme italian is hard eanoth.
when i first played substance, yes it was hard. but now, piece of cake.
with good bullettime use and use of hev forms it's not that hard as it seems.
you dont know how useful the sniper is in Big Boss at the buggy parts.
so what i'm saying is that extreme italian should be for the veretan.. for the real players.
 
well yeah make it like balistics that was hard u got hit once u went flying right back and u where on like 30 health that was bloody hard then again u could always modify it urself in the cfg dir and xdiesp i got the trial of photoshop cs 2 with this theres 2 things i should be able to do A: skin and make blood mods [wich is what im doing] and B: posibly convert hl1 models to source if u have any requests xdiesp im listening

ur the 1 being an asshole i am not posting it here so he will see it first im posting it here so i can help the substance mod anyway i can u just think it revolves around u my post had nothing to do with whatever it is u want or were talking about now xdiesp i have been working in photo shop and i have made 2 blood decals i cant make em from scratch but i can modify the existing ones i will have pics as soon as i can get my bloody gmod pics to not come up black i aslo changed the alien blood let me no exactly what sort of style u want for it like a huge splater efect or maybe bright red blood dripping on the walls just let me know and i will try my best

sonic: you mean on the Mod Database? The option "faceposer" is not available in the Help Wanted form to fill,the closest ones were "graphics specialist","coder" and "sound guy"

NJspeed: if you have completed the game already at Hard a couple of times,you can survive it with just a cheat here and there. I suggest you to try the training map to get acquainted with the new weapons and skills,after reading the readme for some 5 minutes...

henkjan: you're a senior here,try preventing flames to enter page 100!

the 1.2 development goes on. We have the acrobatics code done and I have contacted Kaos Nyrb to import gibbing from his Project 22 mod

cutting models apart + coding in gib system....
 
Inflame007: Project22's mod leader Kaos Nyrb already did it and now he's helping us. BTW,we could have just imported CSS's gibbing system without much work. You have never told us if the houndeye started working after all this time...
