So... that site is a wealth of info, or not... im sure it will get better after e3 and not only have, 6 screenshots...

Why would they release new media now when they making their big show in a matter of hours?

Yay! This can only mean that the game is going to be released soon.......I hope...

Seems more like a half-life 1 website then half-life 2.
Apart from the fact that all of the content is Half-Life 2 related you mean? :p

"Graphics - Source’s shader-based renderer, like the one used at Pixar to create movies such as Toy Story® and Monster's, Inc.®, creates the most beautiful and realistic environments ever seen in a video game."

Isn't that a bit exaggerated? Or do they mean what it's capable to do in the future?

wow look at the trailer. Its nothing new but pretty cool. Make shure to sighn up for the newsletter!

It means they'd rather sell their game long than sell it short. That's all.

Source does indeed use a shader-based renderer.

Pixar also does indeed use shader-based renderers to create their movies.

Ah-hah, take THAT HL2World, maybe next time you'll believe Munro :)

i noticed that the box art is diffrent now ... they r showing the one with alex... it used to be a diffrent one

That's what was hosted there before. You'll just have to wait until the domain name server updates itself and points to the right place. They must've changed servers.

EDIT: Yeah they've pointed the domain name to a different server. The site is being hosted by Limelight Networks now like ours is :) I've just done a whois look up on the URL.

About the box thing, everytime I visit the site, it switches between Gordon, Alyx, and the G-Man. Maybe HL2 is doing what Starcraft did, and will release the game with 3 cases, showing each of their faces. If thats the case, which box will you buy?

Maybe you're right, whatever.

It's all coming together! I know there isn't any new media but the fact that they launched the site and e3 is so close makes me begine to think of all the wonderful things HL2 and it's mods will bring. This is why we first came to these forums and it was delayed and delayed and now it's finally shaping up. I'm a prowler!

Hmmm, on an "interesting" side note, on the front page they cut out the part with the Combine's missing gun shadow...

Would of been nice to include the SDK on that site...
This is exactly what I'm thinking. I thought valve said they were going to release the SDK sometime before the E3 "2004"

I heard from some credible news source that it would be during e3. I think it was gamespy or something officialish.

Well there's still 7 to 8 hours until the E3 exhibition starts (if my low-level time zone math is correct), we've got plenty of time.
