It's a good piece of science fiction that would lend itself to a video game adaptation. Whether or not Bungie will kill it will be determined solely by the ensuing flame war here.

My respect for Bungie decreased ever since they made the first Halo (ONI was awesome). The game is overhyped by every definition of the word and their milking of the Halo cow makes me lose respect for them even more. Come up with something new for once mabye?

He's just straightforward with fighting. That's sort of the whole thing with the Spartans; the most emotion they show is the finger smiley across the faceplate. The rest is war prep and completing the mission.

Someone needs to work out an algorithm for when the PC version of each Halo title will arrive. I need to work out how Halo 4 will affect my pension.

This would be Halo 0 more like. Since there won't be a Halo unless they expand with the covenant storyline. And yes, John is MC's name, it was briefly mentioned in Halo 3 as well.

I doubt they'll bother with the development of the Spartan II program that they go into in the book.

I have a feeling this will be a short-ass game like ODST with us playing as a nameless Spartan that is going to kinda be like Fred in the book, defending Reach from whatever new random shit Bungie decides to make up along the way.

I hope I'm wrong though. I hope Bungie dedicated most of their resources to Reach shortly after Halo 3 while leaving a few schmoes behind to develop ODST.

Loving the direction for the story, I fully enjoyed reading Reach.

Nope. It's the best co-op, story driven campaign game around and the most demanding and perfectly balanced single player fps created. The forge and movie/demo mode are so good every fps should adopt something similar.

Other than that it's terrible
