I just saw a news ad where Prince Harry is in trouble for wearing a nazi uniform. More details soon :sleep:
 
He's an idiot, but then, who cares about the royal family anyway?
 
So he sported nazi garb :E so what? and i'm jewish :p (on my dads side anyways we dont really practice) I can see why it's offensive but so many presumptions OMG HE'S A NAZI, HITLER YOUTH!!!11oneone

It was bad taste to wear that, but they act like he joined an actual Nazi gang or something.

Seriously, who gives a flying one? Harry probably won't become King, so he's well within his right to go nuts with all his money and friends. It's not the business of anyone what he wants to attend to a party in, as long as it isn't purposely done to offend people.
 
Personally, I dress up as Hitler all the time.

Except Tuesdays, when I like to slip into my Goering costume.
 
yeah i saw that on the news.
it was pretty dumb to wear such clothing...but mehh.
celebrities never learn.

Yeah stupid but give a ****. This is exactly what newspapers would kill for and of course are going to milk it for all its worth.

It was all over the news last night in england. Trevor Macdonald was like, "Prince Harry has been slammed for dressing up as Hitler, according to an article printed in the Sun tommorrow."

Printed tommorrow? Hah, that made me spin my chair around and stop shooting combines in the face. Not very often you hear that.

Strange use of past and present tense. Is that grammaticly correct? I know my spelling isn't.

No-one's saying - well, not outright - that Harry actually IS a Nazi. But he's certainly a complete dick-head. I'm not going to pretend that I don't have a slightly skewed sense of humour (bad taste jokes are, up to an extent, very funny), and I think that if it was anyone else in that fancy dress I might go with it and realise (or hope) that were probably being slightly ironic.
But you simply can't do that sort of thing when you're in the position he's in. You simply cannot do it. Especially seeing as his grand-dad has a reputation as being one of the most racist people in the country. And especially as 2004's Queen's speech was geared towards a celebration of Britain's racial diversity.
Very silly.
 
Media has a tendency to blow things way out of proportion. Nazi garb wasn't the most appropriate thing to wear, but then again it was a costume party. But still... Nazi garb? bah.

I'm not really interested in this kind of thing about Celebrities and Royal family etc.
If it was any other 20 year old, who would care? They'd just dismiss it as someone fooling around.

So what's the matter? I went to a fancy dress party as Stalin when I was 18. He was a monster too. But noone said "Oh how can you dress as a man who killed millions?", they all thought It was quite amusing.
 
I just think that Harry made a bad choice in costume, considering he is an heir to the thrown. However, some people really do make a fuss over something that obviously isn't supposed to be taken seriously...
 
What the ****? The swastika symbol was a harmless joke. So what if he smoked pot? Are you telling me none of you here have ever smoked pot or drank underaged? Okay, mabe it wasn't the greatest idea of wearing a swastika sign to a fancy dress party, he should have known better. Put the public and tabloids make such an overstatement of the situation.

Heh, Well, this isn't really on topic, but yes, I can say I have never smoked pot. Drinking underage, not in many years. My dad let me take a small sip of alcohol as a kid, no more than a few drops worth, and that's all i've ever really drunk alcohol wise. lol

The whole claim of "everybody's doing it" is bullshit.

Sure it was out of taste if he had done it publically and thought people would know. He did it at a private party... he has every right to dress up how he wants at a fancy dress party....


Its only in the news because the readership will act all shocked and appalled and thus sell more newspapers.

People forget that the swastika, if turned clockwise, is a sign of goodness, life, and prosperity.

Shoulda seen the (needless) uproar I caused at my old high school. Bunch of uninformed dumbasses. Mind you, I did it specifically to prove that people assume wayyyy too ****ing often.
 
Yeah, I went to a Buddist temple in China, and I had to wear a scarf of good fortune or something, and it had loads of swastikas all over it.
I was about to say something about it, but then I kept quiet as I remembered it is a religious symbol in Buddism.
Tied it to a post for future good health.
But the nazi swastika is reversed and at a 45 degree angle.
Pity how you can destroy a good meaning symbol just by being a genocidal maniac.
Imagine if they chose a different symbol for their cause. Like the christian fish or something.

I do see that people tend to assume the worst though.

Yes, but that's like saying when an upside down cross is turned the right way up it's a sign of sacrifice and goodness. It is, but if you wear an upside down cross people are still going to think you're a devil worshipper or something.

Meh, who cares, I'd ware it, its a cool uniform, don't see why all the fuss is about. It's like if some one Here (mexico ) would dress as a spanish conqueror, they killed millions to, would people cry about it ? No.

I better shut up before I get banned :x
