History Test

It's so great for you to tell them how they should live. I'm sure they love their new life, that is why there are bombings, theft, kidnappings, and just straight killing there everyday. Are you still living that lie that they would see us as liberators? This was proven to be untrue the day we went in to Iraq in case you haven't been paying attention.

So everyone in Iraq hates us and wants to see us gone?

Many do view us as liberators, the baathists and Sunnis surely do not, we caused them a whole world of hurt, payback's a bitch. I guess they should have played nicer with the majority of the population when they had power, if they had they might still have it.

Iraq will take a while to fully stabilize, free elections and self determination are good things for a country and good things for people.

Free elections are important and I wish the entire world was a democracy. The problem is that you can not force democracy on people. No matter how you look at it you have to admit this would be a lot easier if we had went in there with the UN. If we did that I have no doubt in my mind most Iraqis would welcome us. As for how many people want us there, we will find this out in about a week when they have their 'elections'.

Show me 1 quote from any mainstrea democrat that said Bush is like Hitler.

John Glenn was referring to the speeches made at the Republican National Convention, and GEORGE BUSH WAS ONE OF THOSE SPEAKERS. He was not referring to Republican policy, but if he was, GEORGE BUSH IS THE HEAD OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY

As for the John Leo column, it shows THREE quotes comparing Bush to Hitler or a a high ranking member of Hitler's party. I'm sure John Leo made all those quotes up, or took them all out of context. YOU issued a challenge, I met and exceeded your challenge and now you want me to provide MORE proof.

It's funny that I've made it through this entire argument with you without ever calling you a name or outright belittling you, while you call me an idiot or retarded kid every post, or talk about having to "stoop this low," yada yada yada. I guess when you're as secure in your arguments as you seem to be, you can afford to make statments like that because there is no fear of being made to look like an ass.

So it's a Disney mentality not to arm regimes, further militarise already over militarised areas, sell WMDs to dictators then fight a war with them to get them back? Is the US economy worth all those hundreds of thousands of people that're getting killed by those actions? Guess what, it's not.

It's disney mentality to expect that by taking the high road you'll be safe.

Germany is home to the most major suppliers listed in Iraq's 1998 U.N. declaration. The Netherlands and Switzerland each are home to three companies on the list. France, Austria and the United States each are home to two. The declaration says Singapore was the largest exporter of chemical weapons precursors. Other countries home to alleged chemical exporters to Iraq include India, Egypt, Spain and Luxembourg, with one each.

from here http://www.cnn.com/2003/LAW/01/17/iraq.chemical.suit/

why is no big deal made about these countries supplying WMD to Iraq? They had more companies who were doing more businiess than the USA did? Hmmmmm...... could it be that media bias no one wants to talk about or acknowledge? Or was the sale of the components for WMD by all of these other countries moral or justified?

perhaps if you would point out some recent success stories, or examples of UN successes in such areas.

So why haven't countries not involved with the war been attacked?

I'll say again, Germany, India, Luxemburg did not then charge in saying he had super deadly weapons that he shouldn't be allowed.
But yes, it should not be legal to sell such weapons to countries that violate human rights laws.

^ Burner, I agree with that.

It should not be legal to sell weapons to countries that violate human rights laws.

BINGO. We have our winnar! Seriously.

he could release his records to clear the issue up...... but he won't....... why???????? cuz he doesn't want anyone to know he was dishonorably discharged.

Until you back this up with some evidence, this is just a conspiracy theory.

kerry could have been the ringleader in My Lai massacre and it still wouldnt compare to the blood on the hands of his opponent

I deeply regret not answering your biased and retarded questionnaire.

BTW If you think that this is somehow a sign of conservative superiority, you're even more retarded than I thought.

... Only because its not your own emotives and qualitive drivel sputtering about some random topic that holds importance to you.

:D

funny, I thought it was pretty obvious you lost this round, even though the questions were stacked in your favour

I feel let down that instead of a real history test, it was nothing more than bait for another pointless argument.

You should all be ashamed that I'm feeling the blue smiley...:(

Then let it be said, from this day forth...I shall no longer withhold my wrath in this place.

My first order of business is to take away all W.C privalages.

You have brought it upon yourselves.

W.C?

Also I don't think this thread was pointless...it actually taught a lot of people new stuff.Like the coup in Aussie in 1975....never knew that happend.

Just think of it as a another name for the rooms where toilets live.

As for it being pointless, I don't want to discuss it really. Because lets face it...that would lead into another pointless debate :p
