Hitman: Blood Money Next Week!

Geez--from EBGames.com:

360 version = $59.99
PC version = $39.99

You'd almost think it should be the other way around because they don't have to make the 360 version scalable at all. Man, these prices are getting out of hand, but I'll still shake my fists at the pirates too. Devs gotta eat too!
 
I love the Hitman franchise, i've never been dissapointed, honestly - I have no reason not to support these guys. That said i'm broke right now but after some saveing i'll buy this and HL2E1. Very eagerly anticipating the demo.

demo's out now, awful speeds though, feel like i'm on 56k. Hopefully 3dgamers
/gamershell might get it soon.

3dgamers has it up now but the estimated wait was 80 minutes till i could begin downloading :(

getting it from Gamershell now, 155kb/s. I have a 2meg line so thats about average, with gs i was getting 20kb/s:x
 
About 850 kb/s from the Dutch Gamershell server. Looking forward to this.
 
Anyone figured out the save system yet? It seems that your mid mission saves are lost when you exit the game and you'll have to start fresh from the beginning of the mission any time you exit the game.
 
That demo is possibly the least replayable in the world. It leads you hand in hand through every action. Now shoot this guy... now stash the body here...etc. I didn't enjoy the demo because of that BUT I will be getting the main game because I loved the aspect of throwing knives.

Is it only a tutorial? I really hate those, I probably won't bother with the download if thats it.
 
omfg this is the second time i've tried downloading it, the first time it stopped at 56%, i just finished downloading it now, it started to copy the files or whatever and then the copying files box disappeared WTF!?????? :( help?

Not that you have to listen to what it says. I played the entire level using just a baller. Regardless the newspapers at the end weren't of the greatest praise. :cool:

Catalyst drivers are for all Radeon cards so it should work just fine. I don't know if they'll do much for the 9800 series but it's worth a shot. Additionally my FPS increased in all the Source games I own so it might just be a good idea to go ahead and update.

The first level is terrible btw.

But you can't take the level stealthily. The instruction that says "Storm the Room" doesn't really give you much of an option.
 
I've got some graphical errors going and also some sound errors. I can't hear sound on cutscenes or when you talk to the first guy at the gate. Hitman's body is sort of translucent. You can see other objects through him and through walls.

I have Cat 6.4s apparently, but they were giving me errors on install. 6.5 beta drivers will not install at all. Tons of errors. This is wierd.

I have a AMD 64FX and an X800XT so its not like I'm way outdated or anything...
 
hope the full version works better for all you ATI owners
im running an evga 6800gs and it ran flawlessly
anyways, first impressions are the game looks and feels great
i think they've managed to take what was great about the previous games and not only polish it but make it better
cant wait to get my hands on the full version!

It's only like that for the 1st mission, on the other missions you get no help
 
I loved the demo, and putting a syringe in the target's skull. Then a bullet...just in case.
 
finally got it lastnight, ran like crap, x800xt ftl? hmmm level was rather boring too, its definately still the glacier engine, characters still look rather like plastic or sumit and not the doom3 plastic look. The ingame cutscenes still are pants aswell, lip synching could be better. Thank god for the nice CGI ones. Can't really judge any gameplay elements since it was so linear :/
 
I'm still at 38 %, don't think it will run to well on my 5200.
 
Guys, don't judge the game from the demo, the training level is the worst level in the entire game, all other levels are fun imo.:)
