Hitman: Blood Money Next Week!

The demo was awful. In such a big budget game (and by that i mean, big release, big company etc) I dont expect models to be cutting into other models.

The AI is crap. When you grab the guy in the toilets and use him as a human shield and shoot the first guy the other 2 just wait to be shot.

At the end with the pimp guy on the bed, if you choose not to blow up the light fixture and just kill his goons he'll just surender to you even though he has a gun.

The newspaper makes no mention at the end if youleave the picture of the boy behind and although leaving "no witnesses" somehow the reporter writes up about you being a cameleon as you wore a disguise..

Im sorry but that demo was appalling and im bitterly disappointed.

Well, I really liked the demo. It's a shame that it didn't include a proper mission so you could see what the full game is like.

If you played the other Hitman titles no need to play this its not all that great, Yes graphics look awsome with a $3000 pc . I have to run everything on low in order to make it playable to me. I give it 4/10

Demo is shit but i'm hoping the full game will be up to standard.

I'm fairly sure it will. They make fun games they do...

i agree pretty much with the above comments, i wont be rushin' out to buy it on friday after work fo'sho.

Please don't listen to those comments. This game is beyond badass, it's bloody phenomenal. This is everything so right (and there's a lot of that) about the Hitman series, upgraded, improved and with additions x50. The ending is absolutely awesome, too.

yeah but it runs like crap for me too :( , i wish they had released a better demo.

How much did this game improve on the previouse hitman, cause I am thinking of buying the old three games for 10,-. But I hear they have a hell of a lot of bugs and are insainly difficult.

I wasn't a fan of Contracts but Hitman 1 & 2 are awesome. 2 has some really fun missions but suffers from some lame ones where you're infiltrating a fortress or fighting the military and whatnot. For $10 or Euros (I still don't know the combo for the Euro symbol :p) I'd say it's definitely worth it.

Everyone who have problems on high-end machines, we can't help if you don't say your system specs.
High-end ATI cards seem to be having problems (my 9800 and others don't seem to be affected). Try the latest beta drivers mentioned earlier in this thread.

wtf.

I download the demo and install it but everytime i try to run it a window pops up that says "This application has failed to start because d3dx9_27.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

Anyone know how to fix this?

I think that is a component of directx, so try installing the newest version of directx

it could also be used by Hitman 4(?).....try googling it.

I'm stuck on the Wedding mission. I can get through it fine...but I can't find the key to the boat. Where the hell is it?

That 'gangster' in the tutorial level has the worst fake accent ive ever heard in a game.

Hitman 1 is buggy and really hard.
Hitman 2 is pure quallity, great story.
Hitman 3 is crap, it was rushed out, story sucked, felt like an expantion pack, they where just trying to squisse juice out of the franchise.

I'll agree with that.

3 seemed like it was trying to make a gothic horror game, especially with the butcher goth club mission. And what was up with SWAT teams. How are you supposed to avoid them stealthily?

I liked Hitman 1 better than 2. I think his leg animations were more awesome if I remember correctly.

I played this and I loved it. Especially dropping the disco lights on the drug lords crew ahahah. This game is hot I'm definitly picking this up once I get my pay check.

If your talking about the first level, when you get to the eleveator, go to the second floor where there is a dead SWAT member. If your talking about about the last, I have no ****ing clue. Contracts only had two good levels, Traditions of the Trade[which was a remake] and Meat King.

The last one, hummm, if I remember correctly you had to quiqly sneek out into another room where there was a junkie, jump out into a roof, jump back in, assault a cop, steal uniform and kill the last guy.

Contracts was way better than Hitman 1 and 2.
i disagree
contracts really did feel rushed and more of an expansion than anything
blood money is tight

Meh. Hitman 1 was far too buggy. Hitman 2's missions didn't make me feel like a hitman. Contracts was all about carefully planned hits in small locations, none of this running across the desert retrieving nuclear weapon parts. Blood Money looks to be the perfect bill of what it means to be a hitman.

downloaded, installed and got "this application has failed to start because d3dx9_27.dll was not found. no amount of reinstall or reunpack and then reinstall fixed this. re-dl file?

google for the file and put it in windows\system32. if that doesnt work try installing the directx version that comes with hitman if you didnt already.

Hitman 2 was a decent game in its own right, but I agree with you on the fact that it was more of an adventure game than a hitman game. It needed more missions like Anathema, and Contracts and Blood Money are exactly this, which is why I think they're the two strongest of the series.

Oh don't get me wrong, I thought Hitman 2 was great. But, they should've called it like...Secret Agent or something cause that's what I felt like :p.

Exactly. The whole premise that "once you call the number there's no stopping him"...I mean I actually feel like a hitman in blood money (the demo anyway). Hitman 2 was great, but the whole thing just didn't make me feel like a gun for hire.

Not sure if anyone posted, but a demo was posted to Xbox Live for anyone who has a 360 :)

Dammed, Hitman 2 sounds cool, atleast if it is the way I am imagining it now.
Like Monkey Island with piano wires. Is it anything like that.

Blood Money is a fantastic game, although I think I prefer Contracts for its style (and that it runs well on my pc). Both games are pretty light on story.

I loved in hitman 2 the begining when he gets out of retirement and takes out his guns under the floor. Bad ass scene. It just remind it me that Vin Diesel is playing the hitman in the movie :(

Wow, this game is really starting to make me angry. I was just about to complete the mississippi mission when it crashed on me. So I bit my toung and went back to play through again. And again when I was just about done with the mission it crashed on me. This is really making me despise the save system on this game.

This is a pretty good game. Worth the money.

I don't get why they even released the demo with the tutorial level since it's nothing like the full game in the slightest. The levels are totally open-ended, letting you go pretty much anywhere you want at any time, without anyone holding your hand. I completed some of the levels after about 15 minutes of play time, which was slightly annoying since I hadn't even explored half the rooms. Kind of a waste of time for the guy who made the map. Maybe more objectives get added when you increase the difficulty.

It's cool that if you attempt to walk into an area you're not allowed, the guards will tell you to stay out instead of just shooting at you straight away. It's the same when you get scanned for weapons, they won't just shoot you if you get scanned carrying a weapon. You can also spend money upgrading your weapons to add things like laser sights and silencers.

Graphics-wise, I couldn't turn on any of the post-processing effects because of major slowdown with my X800XT, but I hear the latest drivers fix that. I would say the graphics are good but they're not mind-blowing or anything. The locations do feel like real locations though, especially places like the casino and the theatre, impressive mapping. On another note, if GTA4 could look as nice as the level with the clown suit I would cream my pants.

EDIT: The game hasn't actually crashed on me once which is surprising, since I've heard a lot of people have had problems. My specs are - 3ghz, 1gb ram, X800XT. Also, the save system is pretty bad. There are 3 save slots per level, and if you exit the game then restart they get wiped.
