Hitman: Blood Money Next Week!

The coins are a nice addition to the game imo.

I enjoyed the demo. Even though it was on the rails, it was still pretty polished. And alot of fun to whack people in the head with a baseball bat. Or a hammer.

I Oldboy'd their asses.

lol I played it as stealthy as I can the first time, but the second time I didn't.

lol I didn't even put the mine on the winch, I threw it on Scoop's bed! :D, am I the only one who felt sorry for Mr Swing King though? When he begging for his life? :( "Please, sir! All I wanted was a second chance!"

This forum has Hitman fever as of late, the world needs to let out that (not so) hidden sadistic side I guess. Well cut me a slice and pull up my chair, I just made 40 dollars for whatching my neighbors kids!

The game runs (With the shoddy performence etc.) so I downloaded the patch, when I open the installer for the patch the patch comes up with the error and closes.

That should clear things up if anyone dosen't understand.

Reaktor, Hitman 2 runs smoother than a babies' ass on my computer. I am not talking about the performance I am talking about the patch not installing.

That's not the demo patch. The demo patch is just a file that you copy to the Blood Money Demo directory.

When I read this I thought I made posts while I slept. Eyes were still adjusting and I saw the hitman ava. o.o

Doesn't the game come out on the 31st? How are you guys playing through the tutorial?

The demo is the tutorial level, and i'll switch my avatar soon when I find one, I didn't see yours. :p

EDIT: Nah, it's confusing me too, i'm looking for a new avatar atm.

I don't think I can stress how fun the mines are in this game, especially when you get the upgrade to carry two. SPOILERS:

A case in point is the House of Cards mission, where I had taken out two of the marks and the Sheikh was remaining in the lounge area. I had no quick way of getting in (posing as the white supremacist takes ages), so I used some lateral thought and dumped a mine in the DNA briefcase, then lobbed it over the barriers to the lounge while no-one was looking. Boom.

Aside from that, they can be used in the accidents, stuck to walls, left on the ground for guards to pick up and carry to secured areas, thrown individually... they just open the game up tenfold. I can't stop using them :)

just wondering how many missions are left for me? i've just finished the 1st Vegas mission in the casino.

SPOILERS:

Why did 47 murder the delivery man after the wedding mission? the guy who delivered him the package for his next mission, did i miss sumit?

He looked at the letter and it said Code Red, so it was obvious VERY important, so he had to deal with the courier

How cool is the credits sequence!

I still haven't finished it but it's a brilliant twist on a usually boring section of the game.

WOW! just finished it, what an ending, absolutely badass.
SPOILERS:

it was kinda obvious that Diana wasn't going to sell you out and that she injected you with the death serum thing but DAMN!how cool was it when you awake with twin ballers and just blow everyone away, friggin' brutal! the setting, the ave maria playing, the white suit stained with blood, it just oozed style

hitman is back WITH A BANG!!!!!

I got hitman 2, but the game crashes often and the patch won't install.
I double click on the patch, the command prompt appears for a split second and then it dissapears and I am at square one.
My pc specs are:
2.4 Ghz AMD athalon clocked at 2Ghz
512Mb ram
Radeon 9800 pro catalyst 6.4
Win.XP service pack 2, and totally updated

And bloodmoney works fine.

Well, i'm about to start playing the real game :)E) in about...12 hours... D:

Ah what the hell *goes to play demo for the 17th time* (no I am not exaggerating)

I need five reasons why I should dish out all my cash to buy this game (having never played a Hitman game before)...begin!

It's good...
It's better...
It's best...
It's... Hitman!

That's five, isn't it?

Ok.

I try again.

1. It allows you to grab people and use'em as hostages whilst you shoot out the other peoples brains.

2. It allows you to strangle people with wires.

3. It allows you to place bomb in suitcases, throw'em at people and detonate it.

4. You get to be a hitman/assassin.

5. You get to have the cool name, Mr.47.

6. It's a good game, good 'story', fun gameplay with replayvalue due to the different ways you can approach missions.:)

1. Play stealthy and/or aggressively (or a hybrid of the two). You could go an entire mission undercover, silently and swiftly killing the target, and then sneaking out. You could simply go in there with an AK, and proceed to waste every single individual who comes between you and your target. Also, you could blend both, sneaking past the guards, kill the target, and blast your way out. There are many different ways you can approach.

2. Dress up in enemies clothes to try and blend in with the crowd to avoid detection. But you have to try not to be too noticeable. I mean, if all the guards are carrying handguns and you are running around with a sniper rifle they will probably see through your disguise. Equip a pistol on the other hand, and your disguise will seem much more geniune to the enemy.

3. Agent 47 is just badass. Nothing more to say about that.

4. The feel of being a hitman is just one of the coolest things about the game. For example, 47's tone of voice "My client has asked me to ensure this photograph is the last thing you ever see...*sigh* look at the photograph, Mr. Clarence."

5. Non Linear Gameplay, being able to approach a situation in multiple ways, take out the target in different manners, choosing whether or not now is a good time to take that shot, or if you should stay undercover for a while longer. Hitman is just one of the most original series of games I've ever played, all hitman games have a high replayability factor. I would highly suggest buying this game.

Can anyone translate this for me
http://www.hitmanforum.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=31704
Basicly I asked the same thing I did here and the admin responded, now before I ask him for further clarification I would like to know if anyone else here can help.
That patch is DOS mode. You have to supply parameters.

Open a command box (dos prompt, whatever you wanna call it) and navigate to that folder.

X:[ENTER] -where X is the drive letter.
CD [name][ENTER] -where name is the path to your game folder. You can either do it like "CD games\IOI\Hitman2" or you can do each name individually until you get to the right place.

Then run the patch and you'll get the help screen since you won't have supplied the proper parameters. Read it carefuly, and run it again with the proper command line arguments and all should be well.

Note: It is possible to do all this from windows as well if you prefer.

To do so in XP, use Windows Explorer to find the patch file and right click, then select properties.
Click the Program tab at the top, and UN-check the "Close on exit" box.

Then click OK, and then double-click (run) the patch. This will then allow the DOS box to remain open so you can read what parameters it wants.

Now you need to right click again, bring up properties and click the Program tag. In the box that says "Cmd line", after the name of the file, put a space and then all appropriate arguments, or alternatively, you can place a single ? (question mark) after the space, which will cause windows to give you a prompt-box whenever you try to run the program in which you type in the parameters. This can be useful if you're not positive exactly what you need to give it so you can try it several times easily.

Hope that helps,
-Kitty

[1] Strangling people with a piano-wire.
[2] Picking people off one by one & they never know what hit them.
[3] Very customizable weapons, plenty of weapons, sniper-rifle in a briefcase.
[4] Changing disguises
[5] Best Videogame Ending ever. :)
[6] Non-linear gameplay, stealth or guns blazing
[7] Many ways to kill . . . snipe, strangle, push over ledge, bombs, etc, oh...and a great one..charge a guy who has his weapon drawn, yank the gun out of his hands & shoot him in the head :)

He's already been swayed...but those are all true good reasons to get hitman. I love hitman and gahhh its such a long wait for tommorow to get it.

I just need the (blood) money now. Blood money, get it? Haha! Ha...ha...:(

Dont get it!!! you have to play the other to play blood money, You cant just jump right in and play DAH!!!.

Yeah he could. It's not like there's any complex storyline embroiled in all of this.

So? I played hitman 2 without playing hitman 1 first, and I understood it fine.

I just found out that the Opera mission is the mission prior to the start of Contracts, the dude following 47 in the cutscene must have shot him, 47 went back to the hotel wounded and had flashbacks, then killed like 20000 SWAT members

That's correct.

Right, I succumbed to your enthusiasm and bought the game today. Just installed it and downloading the patch now. I think I can squeeze in just one mission before I go to bed.

I am really enjoying this game. I bought it on the strength of the series but wouldnt have touched it if I just had the demo to base my opinion on. Awful idea.

There are some great touches to this game and the missions so far are all interesting and take place in completely different settings which, these days, is extremely rare and satisfying.

POSS - SPOILER POSS - SPOILER POSS - SPOILER

In the Opera mission you can pick up a "crude drawing" drawn by the actor. What is this used for? I never used it.

Had to go through that training level again. Hmmmm. Then I entered the hacienda for the first real mission. There's lots of fun to be had there. Cool game. I like it.

WTF! I went to eb and they told me I have to wait till tommorow to pick it up. I know they have the game in the back.

I went to GameStop and I'm all like

"YEAH YO, can I please have a Blood Money suh"

"No. Tomorrow."

"Can you just like...release it today?"

"It'll arrive tomorrow. Now reserve games O__O"

Spoilers for the Opera mission:

It tells you where to stand if you steal his costume and shoot him with the gun they give you at the front desk. I think at least, I did it differently but my friend shot him during the scene.
