I'm on the opera mission and I'm totally stuck, can someone tell me where to put the real WW1 pistol so the guy uses it?

On his dressing room table right next to where he keeps the prop one.

Game runs like shit on my system, so I`ll have to get an upgrade before I cn really play it.

Same here, the game is totally unplayable with every gfx setting on minimum. :(

FX60
SLI 7800GTX two of them
2GB 4000 at 246MHz
DFI SLI-DR
Raptor 150GB 10000RMP 16mb buffer

:D

The game was fully playable on high settings for me, 1280x720, no AA but AF etc, sure it was probably only around 30 FPS, but it was stable for me.
My specs
9800Pro
512 MB shitRAM
2.5 Ghz P4.:p
Latest catalyst drivers also.

Also, finished the game now, great ending.:)
I also want the damn soundtrack but that ain't out until the 30th.

what specs do you have Amishslayer and Gorgon?

AMD64 3200+
1gb pc3200 ram
6800GT

Full settings, 4xaa 16xaf, runs fine.

One more screen from me playing today.

I'm kinda stuck on this mission, check your pm's Garg

This is for sure the best singleplayer game for PC that has been released this year. It's kinda liniar but there are a whole lot of different ways to play it even if the start and exit point is always the same. The civilans, guards, police, agents etc act very realisticly too.

Only thing I can complain on is that it requires a hell lot of hardware to play with satisfying frame rates. I'm playing on low details, 2AA/16AF and I usually get around 30-40 fps and 20 in the worst scenarios, so my AMD 64 3200+, 1GB RAM and X800XL can't run this game on high settings, time for an upgrade maybe ;D
But anyway, playing on either low or high settings, the visuals are almost the same and it does'nt affect the gameplay at all.

supposedly theres a bug with the x800 and x850 line of cards as lotsa peeps are getting shoddy performance, check out the gamefaqs forum.

No, not so sure about that since my friend has a 7900GT and he can run it on maxed settings with only 30-40 fps.

I'm on the Las Vegas mission and omfg, this game kicks ass so much

Unlike the other Hitman games, it makes sense, you're killing people, you know why, and it makes perfect sense why, no stupid nukes to disarm or stupid shit, just pure stealthy carnage. I will say that the only thing to really complain about (although it's quite nice) is that when you start a mission, you really have no idea what to do, you have your map, it shows your targets, but you never really get any hints on what to do.

I know there are bulletholes in your character, dunno about the enemies

do you think it'll be playable on my system? 2.6 ghz pentium 4, 512mb ram, geforce fx5600

Why did I read that as "Are there any buttholes on the enemy models"?

My game ran horrid until I played it for a bit, now I can max it out with about 20fps most of the time (a few big lag spikes, but hardly any)

The game runs horribly on my computer, to the point where I can barely play it half the time. It actually runs worse at the lowest settings than it does at highest settings. :|
There's a logical explaination for that. I don't remember what it is atm, but it's not unusual.

I can fully knock the settings down with no change in performance, I even tried the .ini command to not use any shaders, looked like crap, ran even worse, shame really, because the engine really doesn`t look a patch on Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, which I can run on mine with full detail and low resolution.

My specs are

Athlon XP 1800+
640MB ram
Geforce 5700LE

I realise my specs are piss poor, but I`d expect a gain in performance when I decrease detail options and turn off shaders, at which point it looks like Hitman Contracts, which runs fine on my system, in fact, it doesn`t look as good as contracts with everything down low.

But how come I can run it just fine with my 9800Pro if they wanna screw over ATI users?
I'm getting a stable 30 FPS at high settings..

Only because a 9800 cant render all special effects and shaders.

Ok, mind informing me what effects I'm missing out on in this game specifically?
I mean shadowing, self-shadowing, bloom all work just fine..

The last level is hella cool...great fun
Meh, my fav was the Las Vegas one.:p
Although I still haven't been able to find a good and safe way to kill Sheik without drawing a ton of attention to myself.
If I bomb him my attentionmeter still goes up a ton no matter how far away I am!:frown:

Put a mine in the DNA case and don't kill the scientist, then wait for him to get there, deliver the case, walk out and blow it up, I didn't have any problems

Frankly, I think this game looks better than Chaos Theory (larger environments, more characters on-screen, etc.)

I agree. Especially with the more characters on-screen bit

The AI doesn't f*ck around in this game. I've tried to kind of exploit it at times just to get by and it still catches me. One example that comes to mind was me trying to sedate a guy to take his uniform. I had 2 doors between me and an orderly that was looking my way. Both doors had windows in them so he had a clean view of me. I figured that he'd be programmed to lose sight beyond like a door window and certainly through 2. Nope, wrong. He sees me and runs to go get an armed guard.

There are of course a few little nuances that aren't quite realistic such as guards shooting you for giving somebody a push but that kind of stuff doesn't really affect the game. After all, your job is to be stealthy and when they catch you doing something you're in trouble.

It's a lot of fun doing the missions and getting the SA rating and it's also a blast just to shoot your way through - Getting a "Terrorist" rating kind of brings a smile to my face...is that so wrong?
