But if the Borealis is in the Arctic, how would a helicopter actually travel all that way? We all know that helis aren't meant for that kind of long range flight.

I just hope we are all done with Ant Lions. We explored everything there is to see about them with the execption of mating.

On youtube in the Anon Half Life 2 leak the borealis levels there are ant lions in that. I hope this changes for EP3!

I love the antlions but you're right.
Good way to solve this would be if you arrive that all the antlions are already dead, and the entire area is filled with just dead bodies of them.
Meaning that something stronger killed them and you'll be facing an old enemy, tougher and more challenging, the Gargantua!

if there are dead antlions, then it is automatically implemented, that there are some living ones, too, which, of course, is nonsense. i mean, we've seen them only on the coast, or near the coast so far, or at least in places, where the living conditions fit for them. they don't look like they can survive in the arktis.

if there ar enemies, the most plausible possibility would be combine soldiers and maybe stalkers. probably a few zombies too.

Well the ship portalled away from a dock, so it's possible that it took a few antlions with it (being the reasen why it escaped) and then the antlions died of the weather condition.

Tho I still think the Gargantua would be awesome here, smashing the ship's hull while you're inside trying to survive.
