That's fine ;). Just the fact that you replied makes aaaaall the difference, lol.

gj! I wish I wasn't so lazy so that I didn't not have my permit.. I'm 17, it's pretty sad actually.. lol

Yeah, having your license gives you so many more freedoms, it's really fun ;)

ya, pick us all up on a bus and drive us to the nearest EB to have a b00ze prty!

The day I got my license I went to school then went to work. It wasn't that big of deal to me, did't mean I had to show off. Unlike the idiots younger than me from my school who got their license and wrecked their cars the day after.

I would like to see the age for getting your license to be raised up to 18 here in the states, a lot of stupid young drivers out there.

Remember it's a privelage not an ego enhancement.

this is a very true statement... my sister had her license for 3 weeks and she totaled her car and sent 3 people( not including herself ) to the hospital... by making a left turn w/o looking while changing her CD.... $5507.93 down the drain cause she didn't look and thought her music was more important

nice :D

I should be getting mine soon. at least a learner's permit. we got the booklet for the prelimenary(sp?) test, so I should be on the road soon.

...too soon. bwaha. bwahaha.

helloooo ladies (wtf is this sh33p idiot talkin about)

Right on NSPIRE! I'm getting my permit in the next few months. BTW, I'm taking the dip!

I have my beginners(permit u call it) and im taking driving lessons to reduce my insurance costs. Im taking my road test for my full license in about 2 months.

Yeah, I'm getting my permit in a couple of weeks, actually.

My brother could drive when he was 9. Not on the roads, obviously, but he had his own car and he took his friends for rides on the land we used to own in Portugal.

She souldn't hv worred there's nothing in PT to hit on except for trees and cows and they're pretty easy to dodge.
I know. I lv there.

CONGRATS NSPIRE

Whoa... how old are you people? I started (legally) driving more than 4 years ago.

What's so amazing about driving by yourself when you can't do anything good without an adult, anyway? You can't go buy porn, you can't see R or NC17 movies, you can't get into clubs... nothing fun. The more freedom you get the more risk and responsibility you have to deal with... which is why I also think the legal driving age should be 18. Many people (probably most people) aren't ready for the risks/responsibilities of driving when they reach the legal age to start driving.

You know I've been driving a little over 2 years now, and I find that there are plenty of people of all ages that really shouldn't be driving. Where I live they fall into 3 categories:

1. Teen girl who has horrible judgement, and would probably pull out even if she saw a tank coming down the road.

2. Middle-aged housewife who thinks because she has a Jaguar the laws of the road don't apply to her.

3. Elderly couple who are probably reminiscing about the Second World War while they are driving. (I live in a city where people just looooooove to retire here).

If I have to stomp on my brakes to make room for another senior couple on their way to Picadillys, I'm going to lose it.

/end rant.

oh, and congratulations Nspire.

Yeah, I agree. By the time I get my license I'll be 18 :) There's a stupid law here that says you have to hold your permit for 9 months before you get your license.. hah, oh well, I'm in no hurry to get it

Hehe, tricky little buggers. What can I say, I'll try not to kill anything .

Thanks to everybody who said congrats, lol. I never thought this topic would be even 2 pages long . Just shows how much everyone at this forum cares... or, err has no life ;). Like me, of course.

PS - I've been 16 for almost 3 months. Seems like we've got quite a few people on these boards that are the around the same age or younger :).

i agree with that statement.. i see pple of all ages making some really stupid decisions while driving.. i live in a suburb of Toronto and i swear suburb driving is scary at best..

i spent 20 years living in down town Toronto and one can understand the frequency of accidents due to congestion.. (this is not an excuse by any means) but seriously.. i moved to Brampton 2 years ago and i feel theres more unsafe drivers here than there were in Toronto.. go figure.. :|

anyway i have been told that pple in and around the Toronto area are saints compared to other places.. but some times i find that hard to believe..

It's only one page if you're cool like me.

Nah, you're cooler, I don't have a license.
