i received a labram tear in my left shoulder while having a seizure in december. after a while of physical therapy i finally had it done. i have to wear a wrap, a sling, and this crazy aircast:

this is not me but you can tell by his expression he hates life

a few times a day i hook that tube up to this weird looking water bottle:

it holds ice so when the water in the cast gets warm, i filter it through the cry cuff thing and i'm all set. i have to wear this ****ing thing for 3 days straight while being in more pain than i thought. didnt sleep at all last night and the vicodin is barely working.

just figured i'd inform everyone that their weekend will be exponentially better than mine, although if anyone was horribly injured, please make me feel better by sharing.

Glad your surgery went okay dude.

Hang in there. You'll be out of that monstrosity in no time.

Gosh that looks really awkward, I hope your shoulder heals up ok.

You need some weed. that stuff always helped me when i was down...and in pain too!

Hope you stay well.

Anyways, you can just act like you are a cyborg with that thing.

Edit: Hey wait, you can be Dengar!

lol, i actually came home to my parent's house for the weekend and my mom was going through my stuff and pulls out a big bag of pot..."that's ugh...prescribed mah"

thanks everyone, i love all of you...sexually ;)

I had this surgery last December. I dislocated my shoulder 3 times in less than a year, so I decided it was time to fix the labrum tear. It works like a charm and I haven't dislocated it since.

Only 3 days? My mom had shoulder surgery of some sort and had to wear a sling for like 6 weeks or more.

Well that sucks. I think pot might hell your pains.

There are so many ways you can injure your shoulder, i'm not surprised. What was her diagnosis?

hope it heals up well and without too much undue pain, vicoden doesn't help for shit when you have an actual injury it just makes you a bit less angry about it. weed+painkillers is great but if you're on antibiotics from the surgery maybe don't smoke weed, for me it made me a bit dizzy and nauseated.

I did this to my leg a few months ago, so I feel your pain, hurt like eight bitches on a bitch boat for several weeks and the week or so after was goddamn awful:

Ah, it's only 3 days. You'll be fine in no time.

I have really weak arms from seizures too, it's not pleasant. If I'm not careful the tendons cross over and it hurts like a mofo. You might want to watch your posture just in case you end up with the same, if yours are particularly violent.

Get well soon!

Jesus ****, how did you manage that? Looks horrid. D:

Let's just say it involved alcohol, me running, and a sharp rock.

Ennui, that's awful. Did a doctor actually stitch that up? It looks kinda shoddy.

Yep, and it's good, the reason it looks ****ed up is because it was like half an inch wide (and a good centimeter deep) so the skin was not really all there. It's healed up all fine, except there's a gnarly scar there.

Pretty badass, I must say. Can get some good stories out of that one to impress the ladies.

"I was stabbed in the leg by a really short man. Yeah. It's in the back of the leg. I was running away, big whoop, wannafide about it?"

I can't remember, I'll have to ask next time I see her.

Hope you are getting along fine with just your left arm. ... :naughty:

my surgery left me with a giant scar above my crotch.

Sorry guys, but I'm going to have to take the cake on recent injury, this happened on 6/8.

Image 1 is of the stuff they bolted my leg back together with.
Image 2 is all the incisions made for them to put that stuff in.

Long story short is a tree fell on me and I broke my leg. The full story is going to get a tl;dr from half the people here.

It was super-fun, 19 hours waiting in Harris Medical's ER for surgery having opium dreams because of all the morphine. o_O

At this point it's just shooting pains from nerve function returning.
