I have social problems (with girls). Is this normal or do I need professional help?

I agree.I used to have this friend of mine who was so secure of himself, he had an answer for everything, had it all figured out... He was so arrogant I just couldn't stand him.
 
being self-positive is different to being arrogant...Being TOO self-confident is a danger you just need to be able to avoid - its happened to a friend of mine, the guy that i said basically magically reversed himself...He'll get knocked down by us if he keeps it up.

And to pick up girls in bars, you need a bit of cockiness as well as humour...

Its pretty easy really. First things first, you may not care how you look but that's what really matters if you want to get anywhere. It's what girls will be looking for, since before they meet you they obviously don't know your personality. Get looking non geeky, you don't have to look like a supermodel but look normal at least. Also...make sure you don't smell.

Second, don't worry about what you say, just get out there and talk to them. It might help to find a semi geeky/non supermodel girl to talk to, I will get to that in a bit. Just get to be her friend so you get used to talking to girls and having a good time with them, and joking with them.

In order to meet people, it's not all that hard really. Example...go to a movie. While in the concession line, if you are behind a girl in line make some small talk. It doesn't matter what you say really, just be nice and give a good impression. Don't worry if you say something dumb, she will forget that 5 minutes later and remember the nice guy she met. Once making small talk, try to get a little further by getting her number and doing something another time with her. If she says something like "Oh, look at that movie, I would love to see it" then say "Oh, well maybe we could go see it and get to know eachother better". That is the crucial link from becoming an aquaintance to friends. Also, try to complement her, never call her hot, chick or girl. All of those words are bad to say to women. If your going to complement her, say pretty, beautiful or something along those lines. Something that doesn't sound like your trying to get into their pants as fast as you can.

Ya kno girls just dont make sense alright. They are just for the most part crazy. But they are a "special" creation from God. They were suppose to be partners for man, but most just like to drive you insane. So just forget about it and use your life some other way. There is probably some marriage problemed guy sayin why couldnt I be like you.

remember the movie something about mary? where ben stillers friend tells him to jerk off before going on the date. do that before you attempt to hang out with girls, it will make you less sex-minded, and less nervous.(just remember to keep track of what comes out, lol)

also, keep in mind when talking to a female that these pretty females are not god-like, they are not these holy grails that we should drool over. sure they are pretty but you are the man and you take charge and be confident because theres no reason to be nervous around them. you are her daddy. period. and ask her, 'whos your daddy?', or 'wheres my sandwich?' you need to at least appear that you are confident.
