Hmm, interesting.

I personally do not like -MOST- anime, but a select few I make exceptions for. Such as Ghost in the Shell.

And I also find this communities responce to an anime-based thread to be amusing, also. I will have to make more anime-based threads in the future.
 
Only reason anime threads suck on this forum is because assholes ruin them.

But I don't really mind because I'm not an "avid" anime fan.

Then again this thread wasn't exactly about anime specifically.

Explain how my post was pro-anime... It seemed pretty neutral to me. More like pro-nonasshole... How would you like a bunch of jerks parading around a thread that has a subject you like? And not just parading around, but starting arguments, and calling you a ****up, and generally just pissing all over the thread and your likes?

Ok, getting back on topic I guess.

I really only like comedy type stuff, or alternative. FLCL and Azumanga Daioh are really the only ones. Both are quirky and outrageously exxagerated at times, which I love.

I used to watch Chobits, which was very deep and that had a neat appeal to it too. I never finished, but I still have the eps...

What's your point? If he enjoys them he enjoys them. Are you trying to argue with him about what he enjoys? I don't understand how you can take something so simple and try to make it complicated.

If I used your logic Dalamari, I could pretty much critisize anything you do by comparing it to something else and saying "why don't you do THAT"

Yeah, Ghost in the Shell made some references to Catcher in the Rye. I think they made some other book references as well.
