remember the football mod where its a map out in a football field and people just kill each other

yeah.. before mohaa came out.. it was my first like LOVE for wwii style fighting.. saving private ryan would be so much more entertaining to watch after playing dod.

i remember the release of beta 5 of cs was like the craziest day in middle school.. all these kids were super excited to get home and download it.

umm when i played it they all ran away from me crazily.. and there were fun weapons.
 
When CTF for Quake came out (as well as TF) with Quakeworld.. man, that was freakin great. Jailbreak for Quake2 as well as ActionQuake 2. Then there was Half Life and it's mod CS. Mmmm, CS was soo great when it came out. Now it's crap.

Cmon there is no juicy info. He would of spilled the beans ages ago, not to mention half the internet HL2 sites would have as well. What u expect from a Valve event anyway? Just more double talk and BS.

you know jailbreak hl was a fun mod for a while..
 
I remember the male vs. female mod (character models) for Quake 2 and it's powerups.. there were some rather interesting mods for Quake 2.

true.. i could never get past the clostraphobic, murky, blurry, bland feel of the engine though..

their player models reminded me of some of the first media releases of tf2.

Yeah, I played it for a while but I didn't like the weapons very much.. in fact, it had almost no realism to it and that turned me off a bit.. Now I love full out realism more than arcade but that doesn't mean I go for realism exclusively.
