You probably can't do a pregnancy test right now anyway. Unless by recently, you mean weeks ago....has she missed her period yet?

I blame your school system more than anything, in the UK we weren't directly told this, but your girl friend could have gone to the doctors the day after it happened and got the morning after pill for free and there'd be less of a problem.
 
hmmm Abortion. If she disagrees a swift punch to the stomach should do the trick. Also talk to her about it, it will help if you both know what direction your heading.

On a more serious note, as others in here have said, just because the condom broke doesn't mean she's going to be pregnant. If its been 2 weeks, then I believe she should be able to reliably take an over the counter test, but of course the most accurate result will come from a clinic or her gynecologist (though I doubt she'll want to go there, especially if her mom uses the same doc, and it'll show up on the insurance, etc).

Unfortunately, the only planned parenthood in Mississippi is in Hattiesburg, which according to google is over an hour away. I'm guessing you've got transportation issues as it is, being only 15 :\ Got any older friends with drivers licenses?
 
Right about now, you can do an over the counter pregnancy test, though I'm not sure about how practical it will be at 2 weeks. Go there, read the box, have her take the test, then decide from there. It's not a guarantee she's pregnant. I think most anybody who has ever has sex has has at least one pregnancy scare...they suck, and are stressful.

A lot of it comes down to money though. If either of you two are exceptionally wealthy, things might be a bit different. But if money is going to be an issue at all - NO.

And I say money is an issue, simply because who's going to take care of the kid when she's in school? Day-care is almost always the only option, and if you can't afford it - horray high school drop-out mom.

if she's missed her period by 2 weeks then you should worry till then it's probably best not to panic ..take an over the counter pregnancy test ..they're fairly accurate

oh and the "foam in the pussy thing" isnt completely accurate ...spermicide should be used in conjunction with a condom, it's not fool proof

By the time a kid is born he should be done with school, and working.

Most people have huge plans, but end up doing blue collar work. Start changing oil, and 20 years later you work at a garage.

you can make a living as a blue collar worker, you can have nice things, it's physically harder of course, but you get in where you fit in. Some people don't do well at a desk job.



My sister had a kid at 17 and my mother (the kids grandmother) helped out substantially. Eventually the kid's father finally began to take a small part in the kids life..

It's way harder for whoever is responsible for the child (usually the mother)

Once a woman is pregnant the child does exist in her womb. Technically, abortion is killing a human being.

That's why if something like that happened to me, I'd suck it up (ie. would be against abortion). No doubt it would be hard, but it would be even harder to live with the fact that I requested to kill a child.

So your saying he should have the kid and be destined to have a terrible job for the rest of his life. And how do you figure he will be done with school when she would give birth. Is there some type of pregnancy that lasts for 3 years?

Anyone with a job and a helpful family (that can drive you to the free clinics, to the DMV to get your license, and take you to the social services to sign up for the government food stamps, or what-have-you, etc.,etc.,etc.), should always be okay and make ends meet.

Nobody is letting a kid die because it doesn't have food or clothes or shelter. it will be okay.

yes but you dont see the alternative? what quality of life did your child stand of having with teenage parents who didnt even love each other ..most single parents struggle to provide the neccesities of life early on due to financial constraints ..I mean it was tough for me and we/I planned to have a family

mid to late20's at the very least ..a 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 year old is not prepared for parenthood ..they're still kids themselves how do you expect them to raise kids?

it's not that simple, kids cost $10,000-20,000 a year ..even on a good salary it can be tough what with mortgage/rent payments, food, clothing, day care etc etc

no offense but that doesnt compare to a loving stable relationship ..there's no way you can argue your neice/nephew is better adjusted than someone from a loving family ..my son and daughter BENEFIT from having a male as a role model and nurturer ..a man's role is much more than simple bread winner and I find it insulting that society and the media paint us as buffoons who couldnt change a diaper if our lives depended on it ..i've been active in both my kids lives and could have been the sole caregiver if given no other choice, from the very beginning ..I can't understand why someone wouldnt want to be involved with their kids lives ..I live for it. Tonight when I get home I've promised to play action figures with my son, he's just discovered Spiderman, Captain America (oh we'll have a long talk about Capt America when the time comes :E ) and Wolverine ..he's always spiderman and I'm capt America (go figure) ..we're always saving Wolverine who's fallen off the bed or been trampled by the dreaded Baby monster
