Actually what Rawshack's doing is pretty close to how you'd want to land from a fall. You'd just want your legs tightly together and to land on the balls of your feet, knees bent. And then you roll.

This is how I land.

You want to minimize the impact by landing on the smallest amount of your body you can manage, and you want to land with you leg locked so the force is absorbed by your spine. Don't worry about making the face, that will happen automatically.

Depends on the height. If you're going terminal velocity, you want to land on your shoulder. If you try landing on your feet, your spine will go through your head.
