Iraqi Police Unit Captures 50 Insurgents

I'm sure you heard the other day of the massive prison break in Iraq. Many insurgents raided a prison and freed 33 prisoners, including 18 captured insurgents. 10 were killed in the initial battle.

Yesterday, Iraqi police and US forces intercepted them in a second attempt, capturing 50 enemies. The large role the Iraqi unit played in the operation, along with recent Operation Swarmer (which was an entirely Iraqi command conceived operation) shows the massive improvement of Iraqi forces just over the past year.
