I play CS, i've sworn on the odd occasion. When i see CS rage videos of guys swearing at the computer screen i laugh my ass off. I'll laugh my ass off in forums with other people about it. It's great to take a step back to see how you behave and just laugh at it!

I'm certain the guys in those videos will watch them after a hard day slaying demons and just laugh at it as well. I would be very surprised if they watched their re-enactments with stern faces and totally serious attitudes.

Some of you guys have to stop taking yourselves and the activities you engage in soooooooooooooo seriously.

I organise those kind of events and we get about 120 people each year. Everybody like it. We call it a "Live" or "D&D Live". I'm 21 btw and the other who organise the event with me are between 23-30yrs old. Our weapons and costumes are better than those in the vids though

The girls I know who go to them get right in there with the fighting, dressing up.. one has a bunch of characters she'll pick from, depending on the event and background, one an Elf (veeeeery sexy costume, all black and revealing) another a white troll, and she looks entirely different in the troll costume. Infact all the girls I know who go to these things are good looking hmmm yay

I play PB and Airsoft, and once me and my friends made a movie of it. We watched it later, and it cracked us up, it is funny how stupid we looked, running around up and down the hill, screaming at the top of our lungs to "Take the objective" and "Move... wait, COVERING FIRE" Same way we laughed at the vid of me shooting a homemade rocket like a bazooka at the "tank" (a cardboard box).

Just relax and let it go past, nothing you can do about thier views anyway.

Bollocks, a six, and with the -7 modifier that means I've well and truly failed my angst test. Looks like I'm forced to reply here.

That's what happens if you try and defend different viewpoints on a forum, mack- this is the internet, get used to it. It's why we have console elitism, graphics card elitism, sports elitisim, and even elitisim elitisim ("my awful prejudices are more fashionable than yours!!")...

I understand the LARP psyche (sort of) but I can't help grinning at one or two of those events. LARP fencing (as in real fencing, no offence to plastic-waving barbarians intended) is said to be damn good fun, but "professionals" are rarely encountered. Or maybe they're not proportionately represented online because they don't film themselves LARPing as often.

And now to indulge myself, I'm going to sit here and laugh at the people arguing over who, if anyone, has the right to sit down and laugh at someone doing anything and/or putting videos of themselves on the net for others to peruse.

I'm posting this at 3:30am here, but I don't need to get a life, because I'M BETTER THAN YOU ALL!!
