In the recording, a soldier in a watchtower radioed a colleague in the army post's operations room and describes Iman as "a little girl" who was "scared to death". After soldiers first opened fire, she dropped her schoolbag which was then hit by several bullets establishing that it did not contain explosive. At that point she was no longer carrying the bag and, the tape revealed, was heading away from the army post when she was shot.

It said she went down, he shot her twice in the head after that, walked away a little, then fired the rest into her body.
No excuse or justification for that, not that I can see.

I hate to say this but "hands up who's surprised". The Isrelis have been doing this sort of thing since '48 and they show no signes of stopping. Whilst I believe that Isreal should exist, I think that if they keep doing these things peace could be a very long way off becasue the Palestinians really dont trust them to keep the promises they have made. Like when they finally got a cease fire from all the Palestinian militant groups and then, just after it started assasinated a Hamas commander (he was a terrorist, so yes he did deserve it, but thats no way to start a cease fire)

I really fear for the world with people, not just from Isreal, but every nation on earth, with people like this are on the loose.

Perhaps not, but you must realize what the IDF goes through to ensure that terrorists dont suicide bomb themselves in Tel-Aviv.

She must've known the checkpoints, and she also must've have had some knowledge that approaching soldier's with a backpack meant to them anything ...

I agree with Kerberos, although unloading a mag into the girls body after she was dead may have been totally uncalled for. However, what if she did have a bomb and wasn't dead before the guy unloaded on her, then detonated it? How could they have known she was just an innocent little girl?


P.S. dont tell me that "the school bag got hit with bullets, that means there was no explosives!" because plastic explosives, such as the well known C4 charges wont explode when hit with a bullet.

My twisted logic? Millions of children starve to death each year and you dont seem to give a rats ass about them, i bet alot of children are shot to death too. This is one little girl that was killed because a soldier made an honest mistake, and everyone gets all pissed off.

Honestly...it happens guys shut the **** up. Any group of over 100,000 people is bound to have at least 10 ****ING CRAZY RETARDS...like in the US army, the Canadian Army, the British Army, the Iraqi Army, GUYS SHUT THE **** UP. I guarentee you 99% of those incidents were rightfully done and the ambulances were carrying explosives or terrorists, the refugee camps were firing at the soldiers, its insane that you believe this stuff.

Israel rightfully defends itself...peace can never be achieved until one side completely dies...the reason being...too many people believe in Israel and would never leave it for such terrible people to inhabit...not even good Christians would like that. The other side, the Palistinian extremists, their sole goal in life is to kill Jews...they dont want Israel, they want Israel and its inhabitants. They will never stop until the Jews are dead...and that is not going to happen...so peace will not be achieved until one side is completely dead.

Try telling the mother of any child who has been murdered that our police system is actually pretty decent...even if there were 1 murder a month the closest relative of that person would not be happy with why it wasnt prevented.

My condolonces (sp?) to her father...I hope she was not forced to do what she did.

The simple fact is that professional soldier’s do not, this under any circumstances act like this.
Do you think for one moment that the families of victims of suicide bombers would in anyway be grateful for this soldiers actions? No they would be appalled by this barbaric, callous behaviour.
 
I can't believe you people are giving any shred of defense to this man's actions. If the report is accurate, then what he did was indefensible and reprehensible.

What the **** is wrong with you people. I could understand your positions if the girl had persisted despite the gunshots, but no. The bag was shot, she dropped it, and then she ran off. Then she was shot 17 times when any presence of a threat had entirely evaporated. Explain the logic of that to me. Because "war is hell" doesn't cut it.

Israel has the fourth (I believe) most advanced military machine on earth. Here they are frightened straight to hell about a country with no organized military. Now, just because they are jumpy doesn't justify shooting a girl in the back while she is trying to run away. Why on earth would you try to defend this man's actions? He killed a child because he was either a.) Trigger happy or b) downright incompetant. Neither of which justifies anything. He'll fry eventually, even though he gets off the hook today.

And Israel has commited some low acts. Far worse than any suicide bomber. But when will we see Israel stand before an international court for war crimes? The day the US does, me thinks.

obviously you have no idea what terrorism is or does or who commits it. we arent scared of the 1st world nations whose asses we could easily kick in a conventional war, the problem is when third world shitholes strap bombs to children and women and adults and we have to tuck our tails in between our legs because anything we do in self defense is considered wrong.
