My best friend loves them too, I can't stand it, I hate him too. He's the one who dragged me to their concert, I was thinking 'ok, ok, maybe if I see them live I'll like them', it's happened before with other bands. But no. Shit you are right! Reminds me of all the fundamentalists refusing to give their kids treatment for measels since they didnt believe in medicine. I picked out this part from one of your quotes from a Mirror article on Jetts death ...I cant believe they print this inaccurate crap ..where did this writer gets this bullshit that it is common for people with autism to have "fits" if they went "untreated" ..autism isnt a treatable disease like cholera or influenza. it's not like you can pop a few pills and your autism goes away. Anyways this witchunt to see whether scientology "caused" this is just that: a witchunt ..there are literally hundreds of different therapies that may or may not successfully help people with autism live with their disorder. Withholding therapy didnt lead to his death or to any ones death. this is just the media looking to cook up a story because they're vultures feeding off the misery of others. I'm not a fan of scientology and have mixed feelings about travolta as an actor but the media is just blowing this shit waaaay out of porportion

However, it's important to recognise we have developed anti-convulsive drugs to limit or reduce the likelihood of seizures, or lessen their effects on the individual.

Autism is often associated with epilepsy and in the US nearly half of autistic children are prescribed anti-convulsion drugs.

It would be silly to directly say scientology is fully to blame for this awful death, but the fact that John Travolta put his beliefs (as Scientology recommends), ahead of his own child's life / heath, by not accepting his condition / disease and seeking what kind of help medicine could provide, he has put his son at an increased risk surely?

I don't blame Scientology, it's sci-fi hokum and these celebs who take it seriously are severely warped. You should make your decisions for your family based on your love for them, not on what Ron Hubbard says. I don't know why Kelly Preston puts up with it, if I were her...I wouldn't put out.

we dont have all the facts and I agree that travolta's idiotic beliefs could have contributed to his death ...however I've known several people who had seizures on a daily basis. a client at one of the groups home I worked at occasionally had 5-6 seizures a day ..usually mild with a grand mal once a year or so ..he wasnt prescribed any long term anti-convulsive meds that I was aware of. What it boils down to is that the medical examiner and the coronor will give a cause of death, until then everything is speculation and rabble rousing for the sake of selling news is just that: muck rakers looking to turn a quick buck
