Kotick Shenanigans

Maybe success is bad for video game companies.
 
Good. I've never been a huge fan of Infinity Ward (Though I did like CoD 1 and 2), but I'm more happy that this is affecting Activision.

Now, if only this was made clear to the public, the majority of people that buy the CoD games. Otherwise its hard to know how much Kotick will care, as the public will just buy a game that has "Call of Duty" and "Infinity Ward" slapped on it regardless of its quality.
 
Well, when a bunch of MOH devs quit and founded Infinity Ward, the MOH series continued on regardless for years, but there was an immediately noticeable decline in quality and then sales, while the new series they created was quickly noticed, praised, and became a massive success.

I hope the same happens here.

Unless they all form a new game dev and makes another stale Modern war themed FPS.

That will be just lame.
 
They were forced down the funnel of Activision to make crappy rehashes. Part of the supposed reason Activision kicked them out was because they wanted to start a brand new IP.

I think they could do well given some freedom, but all Activision wanted was a cow. Wasted talent does not mean they have none.

I wonder if Activision/Kotick is one of those deviously scheming companies that can pull a Jedi mind trick and come out on top after all this, or if they're actually in danger of getting their asses kicked.

I find this news to be rather funny considering the company rep they sent out earlier to court the gamer community's opinion and put a happy face on their organization.

Edit: Finity isn't a word? That surprises me. It really should be.

Where did that Vietnam image come from? It wasn't in the GT/Spike teaser promo...
