I'm not interested in ****ing dying in some sort of revolution, when even though my way of life right now isn't perfect, its not the worst it could be.

Right now, the government needs to change via peaceful means, not bloodshed that will undoubtedly affect millions of lives, and perhaps cause hundreds of thousands of deaths just because you don't like the current system which isn't as oppressive as it could be.

I don't think we're even close to that stage yet, to completely devastate the country for political reasons that currently don't have much validation to completely change the government.

Just off the top of my head:

I'm in favor of a restricted democratic socialism... and libertarian.. sort of. I think we should have property rights, to the extent that you can do whatever you like on your own property as long as it doesn't hurt anyone against their consent. T

The Bill of Rights will all be maintained, so that the government won't fly out of bounds and restrict people's freedoms (even if the government convinces the majority to be against freedom).

Drugs will all be legal. Most firearms will be legal. True self-defense will be legal (someone invades your property, you should be able to fight back).

It should be very hard for the government to obtain a warrant to enter your property.

Teacher unions will be abolished, but teachers will be paid more.

Most public schools, roads, facilities will be upheld.

Prostitution will be legal. Age of consent will be 12 or 13.

Abortion will be legal.

The military will be 1/10 to 1/15 its current size. We won't have soldiers randomly stationed in foreign countries. No offensive wars except in a WW2 situation.

Taxes will be done through only consumption and property. No income tax.

Every person (yes rich or poor) receives $100 stipend a week, just so capitalism won't go out of bounds and so that everyone has a chance. Other than that, there will be free trade (free trade helps people a ton).

Lots of money will go into medical research.

There will be a national healthcare system.

Tax money cannot go into campaign funds.

CIA, NSA, DIA, homeland security departments will be abolished.

Farms will stop being subsidized (wasted food).

Department of education will be abolished, education will be funded on a state level.

A ton of government beaucracy and redtape will simply be abolished. This allows more money to go to healthcare and the $100 a week thing.

Immigration will be extremely easy. If you want to live in America, you simply travel here and become a citizen. No test, nothing.

The republic and elections etc. will be maintained. President gets elected through a direct vote (not electorate), and can remain in office up to 4 terms.

Private charities will be very much encouraged.

That's all I can really think of right now. I can't estimate what the level of taxation will be, but it's probably lower than it is today.

Alot of his stuff sounds extreme. That kind of change would take decades, not something that could happen in a short amount of time without completely destroying the country for many many many years to come.

You'd have an easier time creating an entirely NEW country with those things in place.

Yeah like I said the country's situation is still fair enough that it doesn't necessitate violence, but 30, 40 years down the road... who knows. I'm sorry that you hate the right to privacy, and I'm sorry to see that you're too scared to deal with freedom and government restrictions (OMG not the "terrorists"!! :|). It's a fact that almost nobody dies to terrorism every year, yet so much tax money disproportionally goes into fighting it.
