Linkin Park

I used to like them when I was about 13, but I cant say I've listened to them since. Although I do quite like the numb/encore song they did with Jay-Z.

Oh god I feel unclean for saying that. I'll have to listen to some Mike Patton to make up for it.

I don't understand why so many people like that song. It's far worse than the original (if that's even possible).

The lyrics are shit, but I love the audio-aspects of their music (instrumentals/tone/beats/etc).

i can safely say that most ppl in this forum are above 22 looking at all this

What?

Anyway, Linkin Park is nu-metal, which = shit. Their raps are shit and their "metal" which there is none of, is shit as well.

so there is no one here who likes linkinpark, i believe so, thus this thread should be CLOSED now, before anymore insulting takes place, its just wasting ppls time.

We're totally allowed to bitch and whine as much as we like. It's not wasting people's time! :p

That said, I don't mind them.

Hey, I'm not saying you can't like them. I'm just saying that you shouldn't.

I like them, I don't really listen to them since the lyrics don't appeal to me that much nowdays, but I still think they are a great band. And I had so much fun listening to them.
I'll be sure to download their next album, but I already got the new NIN so I'm satisfied for a while.

Hybrid Theory is pretty great, LP got me into music in the beginning.

I still like to put on one of their songs every now and then

think their greatest songs are breaking the habit, numb and intheend

I really like their more electronic-fused songs personally. Mr. Hahn ftmfw.

*raises hand also*

Like I keep saying, LP are a gateway band :p

Gotta give 'em credit for back in the day when I was getting into 'rock' music and the sorts. Hybrid Theory was a great album. I doubt I could listen to it now, but whichever. Got nothing against them.

*This opinion is endorsed by retarded "true rock" fanboys everywhere*

On a side note, the What I've Done video is pretty awesome..
The What I've Done video is APPALLING. Like I said, heavy-handed moralising. It's toss. Pathetic.

It appeals to me because I agree with most of the moralising being done.
I'm not forcing you to like it. :hmph:

It's INCREDIBLY simplistic, overdone and outright laughable. 'Ah the kids will like this, let's flash images of starving people, oil wells and shots from We Were Soldiers to make a laboured point' - it's a heartless cash in on human suffering, especially when it has little-to-no relation to the song, or much general cohesion. See 'Under Pressure' by Queen & David Bowie for a political video done well and effectively.

I know you aren't, I'm not saying you can't like them - it really ****s me off when clueless shite bands like Green Day and Linkin Park attempt to do politics. Leave it to bands with talent yeah? (Green Day weren't bad but they've gone oh-so-downhill)

Speaking of shitty videos that piss me off

Imagine - A Perfect Circle

I managed to get "into" music without subjecting myself to linkin park. You guys must've done something wrong.
