Linkin Park

It's funny how as soon as someone mentions Linkin Park, everyone flocks there to say how bad their music is.
You'd think that they would just avoid this thread...
 
The bandwagon mentality. Linkin Park is to the music forums what Halo is to the gaming ones.
 
They've played the song at least five times every ****ing day this week. Hate is the only option.
 
enuf please, man, i cant imagine if the linkin park singer came to this forum and saw this thread..i mean come on, i dont want this to hit ten pages of insults please

its probably cos you all are old ppl above 25 and stuff. whilst im just a kid so i still dont have my ears clogged up to appreciate their tunes..

I saw their last album at my disc store, didn't bother to buy it.
I'd-loading it, out of 12 songs, only 2 are "ok"; The rest sucks really badly.
Edit: I think that half of the crap I dloaded were fake songs.

Edit 2: Wikipedia confirmed the band up loaded fake songs.
 
Even HL2.net's resident Linkin Park fan had to laugh at that.
 
Well i have always liked LP from the age of like 11-12, in fact it was the first band i started listening to lol, my music tastes are pretty vast. I mean Hybrid Theory album was cracking, Meteora was good also but not as much as the first, I saw a DVD of them playing live in Texas, and it was an exellent performance. I just brought their latest, i have my doubts about it but ill let you know.
 
"bleed it out" is catchy. Very catchy. I think LP made a mistake when they cut back on Shinoda's rap.

Well the album was average, some pretty decent songs on it, but nowhere near as good the first, and not as good as the second if im honest.

Hey it's what Nickelback do too. Chad even admitted to it.

Anyway, yes, Linkin Park are pretty terrible but just try your best to ignore it. I know it's hard considering they've sold over 15 million albums but in ten years time most of the people here will be saying, gawd did I even really like this stuff? :cheers:
 
Listened to it a couple more times and it's almost starting to grow on me. It still smacks of being over-procuced and under-creative, but it's not rubbish (IMO).

Anyway, I won't be buying it, they already got my money for the first two and they don't need any more ^_^

That seems to be the problem with most of the songs on the new album.

I'm disappointed. After waiting three years for the next album, this was not what I was expecting.
 
NOOO, i am quite disappointed. lp's winning formula is powerful rap and good singing chorus with good electronic rock. they totally cut back on that. how could they. some of the songs are alright, but nothing is spectacular. dam mike shinoda, where the fish was he...

QFT. I liked the new album (though what i've done is not really linkin-parky) but it definatly wasn't as good as the others. Bleed it out and given up (the first time I've heard **** in one of their songs)

i swear there is a imitate style band out there of linkinpark who kind of made their own album but the titles were like similar to lp. please tell me what it is..
 
I remember I was in a store, or some fast food place and one of their new songs came on. My friend said "Hey, this is one of linkin parks new songs" and I was like "Really?...... How come it doesnt suck?" and he replies "Yeah, its actually not complete crap"

This sums up my opinion of the band.
 
One of the people in my school let me borrow their copy.

All the songs had good beginnings, up until the first lyrics and guitars. Everything after that sounds just like the last song. Very, very meh.
 
There are a ton of bandwagon posts on this thread, every other post seems to be someone stroking another person's wiener because they don't enjoy Linkin Park and don't conform. Gotta love hypocrisy.

This thread is everything I hate about the internet. And even part of what I hate about real life :x

Linkin Park sucks so much.
 
The only good [ed: term used loosely] thing about Linkin Park is the rapping and, to a lesser extent, Chester's voice. And that first part is gone now.
