Right, was looking for a decent 15" TFT Monitor the other day on e-bay for the old PC, found a 'Buy Now' link and went through...past the 'Comit to Buy' thingy...went on the other payment methods instead of Pay-Pal (Mum was paying and she doesn't have an account and didnt wana set one up) so at Other Payments page just said Pay-Pal option again :/

Though f**k it and closed the browser logging off etc.

Next day ordered a decent one from another site :D

But now i'm wondering what is gonna happen, got an e-mail with the title 'Payment Reminder' or something, but the e-mail had no content itself..

Am i royally screwed? Haven't had anything say 'Order Confirmed/Dispatched' etc....

D:

Don't they have a phone number/e-mail address you can confirm with?

Maybe somewhere...will check some e-mails i got from them...

Sent a message via e-bay saying i made a mistake and that i wanted to cancel anything i may have done

:/

e-bay sucks not even letting you look at the 'Other Payment Methods' without 'confirming order'

Bullshit

Men in black suits will come for you now.

EDIT: Unless it's Casual Friday, they tend to wear Hawaiian shirts then.

Hmm, i look forward to the white coated men :D

Evil Tron OPERATIONAL!

Just email the guy and say "wtf there was the option for other payment options and now it forces me to use paypal, im sending a cheque bitch D:"

When you use the Buy Now feature, you effectively 'complete' the listing, which means that the person who originally listed the item is most likely expecting payment from you now because they, and eBay think that you bought the item.

It's silly, I know, but regardless, I recommend that you contact the operator of the listing, tell them what happened, and if they're nice, they'll just re-list the item and cancel your transaction, if they're naughty, they'll either ask you to complete the transaction (pay for the fesking thing) or at least refund them the cost of re-listing the item.

'Though it sounds like you may have done this already, it never hurts to repeat this kind of info.

Just gotta let them know that you can't pay them, for whatever reason..that way they aren't just waiting for the payment.

No reply yet :/

Gonna wait until something else happens i think

:S

If afraid you can't just not pay, you will be receive negative feedback almost definately if you do. It might actually be worth creating a new account

Theyll just blackmark you for not buying the item, go read... you get negative feedback from the seller... I love eBay
