Medal of Honor: Pacific Assualt demo

i played the game and it was felt just the same as medal of honor allied assault... it is practically the same engine, no physics whatsoever... graphics are pretty good, but far cry and doom 3 still pwn on it... i uninstalled teh game after 5 minutes... its too much of a movie type game that is linear..

bah, iron sights suck :/

They're just a little too realistic to be fun imo.

I love iron sights, I thought of it as a revolution when I 1st saw them in Vietcong.

This is Johnny. He and Tommy Conlin like to climb trees and make out. He makes friends with the Japanese pretty easily as you can see.

Add "+set ui_console 1" to the shortcut (w/o quotes)

Once in game, hit ~ to bring up console.

You can get many new weapons by entering any one of these codes into the console:

spawn weapons/JPN_44.hag

spawn weapons/landmine_allied.hag

spawn weapons/US45.hag

spawn weapons/JPN_Model96LMG.hag

spawn weapons/type100_smg.hag

spawn weapons/US_Colt45.hag

spawn items/binoculars.hag

Those will unlock hidden weapons. The cheat codes include the follwing:

dog -- god mode

noclip --does what it says

notarget --normally disables AI, but doesn't work in the demo.

That's it. :naughty:

Haha, that's true.

Melee combat with the butt-end of your weapon is just stupid, I guess the developers intended you to have compressed gas powered arms so you can send Japanese soldiers flying 15 feet and landing upside-down and inverted.

Wow - I cant believe you guys can call those models "most realistic ever". Heck, this game is not even in painkiller's league - that game has better graphics than this.

Anyway - the controls were horrible, after messing around I finally fixed them.

This game has ragdoll physics? - you guys are joking right?

I laughed my ass off at the point where the soldier slid along the floor as a balloon. Not only are those death animations, but some of the worse I've seen.

The action was really mediocre, for a WWII game - the sound design didn't even touch COD's brilliance. This demo blows, I hope they fix these mistakes in the full version.

Yeah i was wondering where all the AI and physics were. and there was/is no need for the control system either. Pointless really.

Still, it was kinda fun to play, but it aint gonna be a game i spend my money on.

Won't this game be facking huge?

I mean, ~500MBs for a single 1 minute short-ass level.

They say 25 Levels, jesus.

Controls as annoying as hell. No wonder the war took four years.

I loved the demo, I thought it was great.

It had good graphics, OK ai, great sound, well worth the download. I dont even have a great computer, but I can max all the settings and it runs smoothly. I dont know what problems you guys are having. Maybe your expectaions are just way too high

I hope the demo was just a small part of a level rather then a whole level, otherwise it is going to take 1 hour at most to complete the whole game on easy.

This games gonna be qute good i reckon- i love the graphics and the guns with huge sprays- adds to the tension of cambat. commanding troops is a nice touch and the game has been thouroughly improved.

And 7 years to install and load.

i wasn't impressed with this demo, it looked shite and cained my 9800 pro :(
/me cries.

I ran it on high w/ no problems, I just had to turn off vsync and all that stuff and run at 800x600

The demo was cool, I liked the start of it where you were completely desoriented and there were enemies rushing at you with bayonets (sp?), it was pretty fun. :)

But yeah, the demo was absolutely way too short.. :|

I hated the fact that you couldn't go to certain areas, for example you couldn't access the whole airstrip.
They just made a fence or a sandwall which you couldn't jump across. Really annoying. It's the amount of freedom of movement in a game (and of course goofing around with physics) that makes a game stand out of the rest.

This was just a copy of the other MOH game (apart from better graphics), which in itself is good to appeal to the fans, but they could've added more gameplay-related features imo.

I enjoyed the demo, but thought there was some problems that need to be addressed. It shouldnt take 8 shots from a rifle to kill someone (unless it's point blank), gernades were under powered and teamates were oblivious to attacks from the rear.

I played up to the airfield where your amazing .50 MG knocked out enemy planes by the dozen, I quit and uninstalled it at that point.

:) I thought in WWII .50 Cal guns really did shoot down airplanes by the dozen.
