Talk about being a hypocrit..

Yesterday, it was reported that actor Mel Gibson was arrested by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department in Malibu, California and booked at the Lost Hills sheriffs station in the adjacent city of Calabasas early at 2:36 AM for suspicion of DUI.
...
Gibson began swearing uncontrollably. Gibson repeatedly said, "My life is f****d."
Mee worried that Gibson might become violent, told the actor that he was supposed to cuff him but would not, as long as Gibson cooperated. As the two stood next to the hood of the patrol car, the deputy asked Gibson to get inside.

Deputy Mee then walked over to the passenger door and opened it. The report says Gibson then said, "I'm not going to get in your car," and bolted to his car. The deputy subdued Gibson, cuffed him and put him inside the patrol car.

Once inside the car Gibson began banging himself against the seat. The report says Gibson told the deputy, "You mother f****r. I'm going to f*** you." The report also says "Gibson almost continually [sic] threatened me saying he 'owns Malibu' and will spend all of his money to 'get even' with me."

The report says Gibson then launched into a barrage of anti-Semitic statements: "F*****g Jews... The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world." Gibson then asked the deputy, "Are you a Jew?"

Arrested for what?

Was he drunk?

Did he have an Swasticka armband?

This brings back memories of a good south park episode. I didn't think mel gibson was as crazy as they made him out to be in that one though. Guess he proved me wrong.

From main post: "booked at the Lost Hills sheriffs station in the adjacent city of Calabasas early at 2:36 AM for suspicion of DUI."
Search google for "define: dui" I would link but then it would be a danish google... "driving under the influence"
What a hero, making sure everyone knows that everything bad in the world is due to jews...

Something tells me the fact that he was drunk of his ass may have been a factor to what he said.

How could you not know what a DUI is? lol

He was drunk off his rocker, I'm surprised he didn't say anything about his secret neo-nazi club :p

EDIT: Doesn't Denmark employ the "caught driving intoxicated, banned from driving" law?

No, "Passion of the Christ" is the cause of all pain and suffering in the world. If he hadn't made that movie, humanity would still be a happy bunch. Fact.

LOL.

Wait, thats not 30%, right? Mel Gibson has some serious problems, with his blood being 30% alchohol.

Read about this in The Times... They didn't mention the Jews comment though.

well I can't disagree.

That's a stupid, untrue thing to say.

Gibson issued a contrite statement on July 29, 2006, indicating that he was pursuing treatment for his alcoholism and apologizing for his behavior:

"After drinking alcohol on Thursday night, I did a number of things that were very wrong and for which I am ashamed. I drove a car when I should not have, and was stopped by the L.A. County sheriffs. The arresting officer was just doing his job and I feel fortunate that I was apprehended before I caused injury to any other person. I acted like a person completely out of control when I was arrested, and said things that I do not believe to be true and which are despicable. I am deeply ashamed of everything I said and I apologize to anyone who I have offended....I have battled the disease of alcoholism for all of my adult life and profoundly regret my horrific relapse." Excerpted from complete statement.[20]

Mel Gibson is crazy.
Please watch the Mel Gibson South Park episode "Passion of the Jew".

If you are unable to see this episode Wikipedia has documented it, however the humor in the episode.....is... (frames in south park episode x 1000 words in a picture)^5 more than wikipedia.

Unrelated to the matter at hand... I must say that southpark is one of the stupidest shows on television. And all the stupid little kids who worship and copy their politics from it.

There, I said it.

On topic now. Mel Gibson and his father have been accused of being anti-Semitic in the past. I think his father believes that the Holocaust didn't happen.

South Park is stupid and for kids? Total bullshit, South Park is the only show that always gets the point across in a way that makes you think "yeah, that makes total sense" and doesn't pick sides (liberal, conservative, religious etc) but pokes fun at everything. You can't accuse the show of being biased.

Kids may worship it because they can't look further than the poop and piss humor.

What exactly is wrong then with how South Park vews politics?

So what if people copy it's politics a little now and then? South Park brings very good points and the many of the episodes have a strong meaning. For example the Cartoon Wars episodes. Freespeach vs Censorship is a very important issue it debates about mohammad with Kyle and Cartman. It also goes how it is not ok to show Mohammad yet ok to see Jesus and our President getting shit on. Kyle sticks up for free speech, Cartman is minipulating it to take Family Guy off the air, and the rest of the world is putting there head in sand to show they arn't part, didn't see it, and didn't talk about it.

Or how Stan rips on a Morman kid for beliving in a faith with no facts. Yet the kid was only nice and accepting of Stan. It also shows irony between Stan ripping on him for beliving in a faith with no facts.

Or Two Days Before the Day After Tomorrow. The boys break a damn and flood a city. Everyone is blaming this and that instead of helping the people.

Or about Chef, who is one of the only black people in south park, and him finding South Parks flag, a black man being hung and white people pointing and smilling, offensive. However no one else did. It then goes on to show how Chef is being racist and not the town.

Of course some episodes have nothing to do with politics. And yes you should find them stupid. However that dosn't mean you should find them unfunny. The whole point is to be senseless humor, something that you just don't have to think about. For example the sending a whale to space episode. Or Al Gores Bearmanpig episode. Or Scott must die episode(One of the best episodes ever.). Or any episode where Cartman is being a minipulative bastard.... I'd like to note that even in many of the episodes that don't have a deep meaning, at the end they actually show you a deep meaning..many times straight out in words from Kyle or Stan thats overlooked.

Minerel's right, South Park's a good show for the politically minded. The creators even make fun of themselves in the Cartoon Wars episode when some guy is talking about how a show "Used to be funny, but then got all preachy with messages."

i get drunk but i dont start yelling anti-semitic remarks... being drunk just makes you say what is always on your mind... it doesnt make you say things that you dont already think.

I've said some things while drunk that I don't really feel. :bonce: <- wtf is this?

That's not true. You could have things from your subconcious that might leak out. For example... i'm not saying this is how it is, just giving it an example. Mel Gibson's father may or may not be anti-jewish. If he doesn't like jews, he might have had a little bit of influence in his sons life as he's growing up. Sons are not always like their fathers, but even so, they can retain some of that stuff, whether they agree with it or disagree with it... it can be locked away into their subconcious. Alcoholism sometimes has a tendency to unlock things from your subconcious and bring them into your forethought, and because it also impairs your ability of judgement, you may just go off on a tirade.

Or he may just secretly hate jews, who knows? Nobody knows... But what we do know is that alcohol induced tirades are not to be trusted as a guarantee of somebody's personal thoughts.

Mel Gibson is just keeping it real.
Somebody should have taped this and it should be added to "When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong" in Chappelles show

doubtful, the apple doesnt fall too far from the tree:

"They claimed that there were 6.2 million in Poland before the war, and they claimed after the war there were 200,000 -- therefore he must have killed 6 million of them... They simply got up and left. They were all over the Bronx and Brooklyn and Sydney, Australia, and Los Angeles." - Hutton Gibson (Mel's father), Holocaust Denier

They say you speak your mind when you're drunk. The buffer between what you're thinking and what you're going to say is shortened quite considerably. Being pissed doesn't mean you automatically start hating jews. I'm not saying that your thoughts aren't altered by alcohol, but when I'm pissed I can usually think normally, I just screw up when it comes to communicating.

I have several tasteless jokes that would be appropriate here.
