I went outside and busted my ass for you guys for about an hour in the cold. The snow wasn't suitable to making a snowman so I had to compact every last inch, and I had no appropriate facial options but I made due...

All because I love you guys! Merry Christmas!

Awww <3

EDIT: Oh. and Merry Christmas... I guess.

This is as good as any gift from family :D Your snowman is adorable! Did you make his eyes out of chocolate wafers?

Merry Christmas raz! [edit] Also, Merry Christmas everyone else! I think I said it somewhere else but now it's here too.

I shoulda made a god-damn snow man, now it's all melted. I mean seriously we got 3 inches in DFW.

A veritable white Christmas!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

HOHOHOHOHO!

Hahaha. <3 you all.

Actually, when I said I didn't have materials enough to make his face, I REALLY didn't have any. I wanted to use walnuts, but the damn squirrel had stolen all of those and buried them in the yard. What I initially tried doing was taking these little purple/blue berries off these trees near my house, and pressing them into where his eyes would be. It was compacted tight like ice, since I had no other choice as the snow was really powdery.

The result of that only mushed the berries, and it dyed his eyes purplish. I was just gonna go with the dyed color, but eventually I decided to take a little twig and drill out a hole and put a berry in there and pack a tiny bit of snow around it to keep it in place. So he had beady little eyes, making him all the more lovably ugly.

The nose was just a stick, and the mouth was a stick I broke off in an obtuse V. The snowman was quite tiny, probably only 2 feet tall. Because of the consistency of the snow, it was incredibly difficult packing him. I wanted to make a full sized one, but didn't have enough time. Sun was already coming up and threatening to melt it all(which it did).

3 inches? Wow. Only about an inch to inch and a half actually made it on my yard. But it was still very impressive to see, especially on Christmas day. It actually caused me to have a pretty good Christmas by raising my spirits.

EDIT: I just read that this was the first white christmas in dallas in 83 years!

My snowman on Christmas wasn't all it could be...

So I made another one this morning. The snow was PERFECT for making a snowman.

I was going to have the largest snowman I've ever made. I had the bottom half... gigantic. I rolled the middle half.. almost as big as the bottom half. I then rolled the head.

The middle part was so freaking heavy I couldn't get it up on there by myself. So I went into the garage... got two planks of wood and some smaller wood pieces set between to lend it reinforcement.

I was rolling it up onto the bottom half, and I got it there... but it was completely unbalanced as apparently my middle part was egg shaped, and the egg was standing end to end. I tried to shift it onto its side... but eventually it crashed to the ground... landing RIGHT on top of the head.

Pissed off(and laughing at the same time), I decided I'd just build the ****ing body right there... so I took the broken pieces of middle and head... and fashioned myself a mishapped torso and head.

Lacking the stuff to make a proper snowman... I opted to go hardcore with it. I took two wood boards and stabbed them in for arms... and then I took three bricks... and made them the eyes and mouth.

****ING BRICK EYES AND ****ING BRICK MOUTH. HOW HARDCORE IS THAT? It's like a god damn robot snowman.

So here I present just for you hl2.net... my (semi) proper snowman. He's almost six feet tall... and he would have been for sure if the original middle and head weren't crushed.

The way the first three pictures zooms in like that could scare a kid.

If they're normal sized bricks, its a bloody huge snowman.

Good on ya.

Normal sized indeed.

I got quite a workout. I swear the base weighs like 300 pounds.

I was contemplating not making a snowman at all... but instead just rolling up all of the snow in the yard... And having a gigantic ball.

The snow was the absolute perfect snowman snow this time... I rolled it and it picked up absolutely every bit of snow. That little tiny snowman... I spent longer on him... because I had to keep packing and compressing him with my hands since it was so dry and powdery.

That snowman is pretty terrifying, zoom or not. But good work, can see all the snow you had to use from the bare lawn.

i would have made one except we literally got 2 inches of snoo

He looks lumpy. He also looks like he's holding out his arms for a hug, beckoning you with his sad, square eyes. Give the snowman a hug, damn it.

DONT. Darkside, shut up, stop trying to guilt trip Raz into hugging that evil son of a bitch. There is no way in hell that snowman would let him go once he had Raz in his splintery death grip.

and for no apparant reason here's a guy riding a pig

The new one reminds me of an old man yelling "GET OFF MAH LAWN!!!". Nice.

Supposed to be a lot of snow from now until the end of this weekend. I SHALL ATTEMPT TO TOP YOUR SNOWMANG.

The only way Raziaar's snowman 2.0 can be topped is if you use whole Nestle Crunch bars for the eyes.

Nice, Raz, but you should put something next to it so we cans see how big it is. It's really hard to determine its size now.

I thought of doing that, but couldn't think of anything off the top of my head. Just like with the eyes and mouth... and arms... I had no idea what I was doing so I just quickly threw it all together.

Here you go bro.

I measured the snowman... and he's 5 feet tall. Not closer to 6 like I thought. He would have been 6.5 if I hadn't dropped the middle part before as I said.

Oh... and I made another one too... really skimped on his ass though. It was ****ing wet and cold... and the welding gloves I was using were soaked through.

I think your hug-fiend snowman melted a bit, he seems lopsided.
