Nothing needs to be destroyed, nothing needs to be opened. My chest is fully accessible from normal means.
 
I know Raz's secret stash location. Will exchange info for Diamonds.
 
And after he exchanges that info to you, you have my permission to steal his diamonds from his own chest stored in the same location. Though the chests are not marked, and you might steal them from my chest. You have a 50/50 chance, and something terrible will happen as a result of choosing the wrong one.

Ask for an admin in game first. There's usually one there, but it seems they've been ducking out as of late. D;

Walked out pretty far. Not far enough though. Found this under someone's building. Goddamn coal.

I'm usually in there, I've just been playing civ5 the past couple days, and I'm currently doing an arma 2 thing with vegeta, viper, krynn and sliver

That looks like the structure my wooden cabin is on. Are you saying I should have mined the shit out of that coal as soon as I saw it? ;)
 
Nah. I was out exploring for trees and random caves.
 
Did some roadworks construction today, and built a skyscraper LAVA TOWER. head to my castle in the northeast to see what I'm talking about.

Some of you guys have made seriously cool buildings. I especially found raken's tower to be impressive as hell. Nice going :D
 
Is it possible to take source blocks in multi?

I've been on the server for a bit tonight, and i want to make a lava disposal unit in my base, but i cant seem to collect either lava or water source blocks. All i get are buckets of blocks that just die out :/
 
Buckets of water and lava are broken in MP.

The only way to get water or lava is to ask an admin (me, Raziaar, Hokey, Sliver) to give you water/lava source blocks, which you can then place and will behave as a bucket of water/lava normally would.

Just see if an admin's around the next time you're on. I might just make a chest near spawn with a few stacks of each, but I'm afraid people will abuse it.
 
Suggestion:
you guys should add /setwarp to regular users so that some people like me who built a place underwater can just name the warp place and warp into it :D and for those that built a place in mid air to warp there to :D

PEOPLE. No griefing on the server, please. This means do not steal items from chests that are marked or you don't know who the owner is, don't destroy buildings.

Come on guys, be cool. We're trying to keep this as a nice server, and so far pretty much everyone has been obeying the rules, but there are still some people doing some uncool stuff like stealing.

Stop it please. And please inform your friends of this, though they should already know, and most, if not all of them(I don't know, I don't know who's griefing) have been following all the rules and playing along great.

I'm kinda doubtful as to whether "stealing" is really stealing or if it's just the game being buggy and losing inventory / chest contents sometimes.

Other than wooz ofc. Besides that I've honestly seen no real evidence of griefing.

anyway I'm working on my steps, still haven't even touched my home yet. but i wanted the entrance to look better than it was. in the left you can see the impressive waterfall my neighbor built.


but yeah all i've seen on the server is people helping eachother.

I just checked out the place, it has been attacked - it was made out of iron blocks and obsidian, and half of it has been patched with cobble.

Oh God, you guys let him on your Minecraft server?

I've played with him a few times on the HL2.net TTT server when there are no admins on and he always griefs the shit out of it, I'd expect he does the same in Minecraft..

Also, getting this when I get my new comp, finally made the decision, hoping to be playing with you guys in 2 weeks approx.
 
Who's shack is that? I have tons of iron just laying around, probably enough to replace those blocks.
 
Whoever is making those floating walkways needs to stop. (not the one way up in the sky) I mean the ones levitating a few blocks from the ground/water. That shit looks ridiculous and aesthetically unappealing to the eye.

Probably the same person who is making sidewalks that connect every building in the map. STOP THAT - LOOKING AT YOU, WHOEVER MADE A TUNNEL TO MY BUILDING!

Edit: Since you did decide to make a tunnel, you could have atleast made it nice. I fixed alot of half ass'd construction.
 
^I guess it's not possible for admins to make it so that a certain area can only be "manipulated" by XXX player etc?

That would be something I'd hope to see Notch implement in the future otherwise, would be an 'easy' way to prevent some griefing.
 
No, we don't have that much control. I wouldn't want it that way, anyways. I just thought people weren't building near other's property.
 
He's going to implement that at some point. He referred to it as 'flagging' land a while back.

I admit I've made a few of those, but I have plans for most of them (ie an above-ground waterway linking me/Vegeta to Ennui)

Since some people might have floating cities in the sky and stuff, we can maybe add that ability in soon. Right now, as of default settings for the thing, only the admins have the ability, though I've never used it nor had an reason to.


EDIT: Upon further reading, warps are a shared thing in the game. So what you'll have to do maybe is simply do a /sethome for your home in the sky. Warps are shared by all players on the server it seems. And general players can all already use /warp

If you wish, I could perform a /setwarp in your home, though that means anybody could get in there with /warp since they are shared. You may just wish to use /sethome
 
I think I'd prefer, once MP mode turns to actual Survival, that we disabled all the "cheats" that could also be used to evade danger/avoid the risk of falling while traveling etc.. But I have a feeling most of you would prefer to play in this "more challenging creative" mode, so I suggest voting for it once we get to that point.

Well... I too personally would like it so that all of those things were disabled too, to make it as legit as possible. Would be nice if /sethome simply set your respawn point and you didn't have a /home command to warp to it, or a /spawn command to warp to the spawn.
 
I kinda like the difference between the two. That way I can easily travel between the 'City' and my home.
 
Nice mansion, Stardog. Did you come up with the design by yourself or did you use some reference material (perhaps for inspiration)?
 
Damn that's nice Stardog. I have a theory in Minecraft, glass makes any building look great.
