I can finally say I've got a new car, and not mean new to me! *Well, this is the newest I'll probably ever get.* It's a 2007 Mazda RX-8, with 8,000 miles on the clock. Car is so awesome, and a nice upgrade from my Turbo RX-7. Why am I still talking? Thread is useless without pics, amirite?

I LIKE IT!

What's up with that leather-y thing on the front of your other car?

Verrry nice! What kinda sound system? (Gotta have the crankin tunes...)

Dayummmmm boiiiii

get a vacuum tho, lol

Lol, yeah, it's been raining, so shit is sticking to my feet and getting rubbed off on the mat. I plan on watching it and cleaning it out tomorrow :D

I'm so in love :D

*EDIT* Nobody is noticing the 9k RPM redline :p

You bitch.

j/k, nice car

Does it have a speed meter though? It's kinda weird to have the RPM in the middle :?

Mazdas er' nice. Way to score. Just don't go and crash it up or anything.

BTW: Where's the speedo? Is it that digital section in the tach-o-meter?

We used to have an RX-8, theyre certainly one of the better cars around these days. The engine is awesome, its comfortable, its a Mazda so you know its reliable.

VERY good choice. Looks pretty much perfect condition.

Agreed. The car is pretty flawless, before a couple scratches on the center console and other random pieces on the interior. But the engine pulls strong all the way up to 9k RPMs, and everything just feels SOOOO awesome. I DO miss the kick of the turbo in the RX-7, but the smooth transition though the power band is pretty nice.

I <3 the 8 a lot. I recommend everybody to test drive it, and see how it feels.

My car sucks :(

jk, I <3 my car, but its not new, nor powerful, nor good looking.

It's OK, you can take a ride in mine any time....if you know what I mean...
...
You know, get in the passenger seat, and I'll drive you around. PERVERTS!

That's a "bra". It is a primered bumper, so it doesn't match the car at all, and the bra actually looks pretty good with it, besides the many rips underneath it from me going REALLY fast. I plan on taking both of them out tomorrow and taking pictures. It's like a date!

Glad you got your hands on it man. Enjoy it. Use it to lure many unsuspected victims to your world of rape and woe.

And eventually acceptance and pleasure.

haha dammit, I was going to make the "bra" joke! :D

Wow, it's like a virgin with only 8k miles on it! :cheese: Pics under the hood plz. :D

By the way, how much did that set you back?

If you don't mind me asking, that is. I'd venture a guess around the $25k range.

I'm looking into buying a car and I think I'm in love with yours (I've always been a fan of the new model RX-8's though), but I doubt I'd be willing to shell out the bucks for a 2007.

Well the 07 was advertised 21k. On the paper, after the tax for the car, it's 23-24k. that's for a dealer car. I'd go for the 06 model , if I were you, as this car DEPRECIATES like hell. That's a bad thing for owners, GOOD thing for non-owners ;) I'll take under the hood shots tomorrow when I take it out with my RX-7. It will be a sex ride.

Niiice.

Looking at that interior pic; the interior looks more spacious than I expected. How's the legroom in the back?

That looks amazing, Paul. Love the RX-8. There are at least 2 in my area, and I'm always jealous when I see them drive by.

By the way, did we forget to do the "Where's -----?" thing? I mean I think I spotted it, but I can't be sure if it is a reflector or not.

Um..."where's -----?"? I don't remember atm...

The legroom isn't TOO bad...though still not the best. What do you expect with a sports car? :p

I still <3 this car A LOT!

I'd settle for a Ford Model T right now... :frown:

Just found out Pitz was lying and this is really his new "car":

:p

Please note the young girl inside, care to explain Pitzy?

anyway, I <3 your old RX-7
maybe more than the RX-8

My question to you-
When will you be buying some custom wheels?

How's the shifting in the car? I only got to sit in an RX-8 at the canadian auto show...closest ill probably get to driving one lol and it shifted really nicely and smoothly

It shifts really smooth, like cutting air with a knife. Feels awesome.

@ Cavalry: I'll probably get some wheels sooner or later. The primary thing I want to do is make sure I have money enough to do everything. I've still gotta legalize it and everything, and that's gonna be EXPENSIVE :( I really LOVE the 40th Anniversary RX-8s' wheels...

And that Ice Cream truck is my backup car...girl is tied up in the back ATM.

The ONLY thing that bothers me about the rx 8 is the fuel consumption, i hear it's not all that great on gas. Either way, if i had 25-30 grand to spend on a car, it'd definitely be the rx8, amazing car for an amazing price

heh, Pitzy is spending all of his time online when he could be driving his new car.

If you wanna get rid of your stockers you might be able to sell them to an SVXer.
They look pretty darn good on our cars. C:

I dunno if it snows bad where you are but if it does you might wanna keep them.

Heh, yeah, they do look pretty good!

As for the fuel consumption, my RX-7 Turbo II gets around 200 miles on a 16 gallon tank. that's HORRIBLE, so this car's a lot better. And it's not REALLY that bad on gas. If you treat the car OK and don't floor it everywhere, people have gotten mid 20's. But if you're really worried about gas being too much, why are you buying a sports car? :p

Hopefully they fix some of the gas problems with the 16x rotary.

And I have been driving around, got some more pictures last night/today.

Looks like a kid opening his birthday presents. :D I hate how all the new cars have plastic covering the engine. If I need to change say, the air filter, you gotta go through all these plastic coverings just to uncover it. Don't even start on the serpentine belt. :hmph: Tip to car makers out there: think of the mechanics and DIY'ers!!! I don't care if it's against my warranty, I can do the oil change myself, not Jiffy Lube or the dealer!

The good thing about that cover on the engine is that it just SLIPS right off easily. I don't mind it really.

And yeah NEW PRESENT! A MULTI SIDE PORT ROTARY ENGINE?!? :O
