I'm doing a college research paper on necrophelia and it'd help alot if i could get arguments on both sides of the issue from an ethical perspective. Personally, I dont think theres anything immoral about necrophelia, but hopefully someone will think differently

Also, if you happen to know anything about the legality of necrophelia, either in america or anywhere else, thatd help too ^_^

The concept of consentual sex comes from the idea that we should respect others basic human rights. But don't those rights leave when you die? Or do you still have them? Or am i completely off base?

Like i asked in my post above, do dead people have the same rights as living people?
Would it be wrong to kick a dead person as well?

I think that whether it is disgusting is no reason for it to be immoral/illegal.

I don't know how dead people are treated under the law: inflatable dolls or ex-people?

I think they should be treated like ex-people, because that's exactly what they are, hence necrophilia without permission would be non-consensual sex.

If it's someone you know, then you would know their needs/wants/things they don't want.

For example, you've got a girlfriend who just died, who you've had sex with before, it doesn't sound so immoral that you'd have sex with her when she's dead. (I still think it's gross though)

If it's someone you kinda knew, then you would have the basic idea of what they'd want.

If it was a stranger I doubt they would wanna have sex with someone they don't know, it's like going up to any random person on the street and saying "Wanna **** me?"

Everyone seems to be implying that dead people have the same right to concent that living people do. Do they have all the same rights? Or just some of them? For example, if i poked a dead guy in the eye, i wouldnt consider it immoral. If if its just some, why this one and not others?

I actually dont care if im created. I was just making a point. I'd be fine with just dumping my body, although there are certain sanitation issues to deal with. Hence why burning or barrying would be the best course of action...

There are certain social stigmas about necrophelia..
So theres a natural tendency to shy away from it in all cases
But I wouldnt care about it for the same reasons i wouldnt care about my eye. And i think the ethics apply to each equally
