I think this thread was made just to draw the necrophiliacs out of the woodwork, but personally I wouldn't have any issues with someone getting groovy with my corpse after I died.

I consider necrophilia along the same lines as grave robbing and necromancy.
Respect the dead. Don't mess up people's memory of them by doing sick stuff like that.

I dont think its immoral. The corpse is just that now, a corpse. There is no person anymore.

But its still f-king gross. You would have to be really sick minded to do something like that. Someone who would do that, no doubt already would be an immoral person, but not because of that.

We all have our different opinions, I guess... a person, dead, may be a corpse... but they are still that person in my eyes. A person is not just the soul, but also the vessel.

Even other animals can show us this... such as elephants, who respect their dead. They don't just trample around them as if they were nothing. We are more intelligent than elephants, and can surely see this more clearly.

It's completely immoral and I don't need a swift paragraph to make you believe. It's simply a fact.

I'd imagine if there was anything left of any importance burning them would be a bad idea.

If its a fact, surely you can back it up with logic :)
I'd appreciate it

Its definately immoral. It is disgusting and very disrespectful and not to mention a clear sign there is something VERY wrong with you.

Yea :) Definitely gross. But why immoral?

Cremating their body and spreading the ashes... is different than necrophilia... Its a sign of respect for those who do it, generally, for whatever reasons. Raping their corpse is no sign of respect.

Yea Definitely gross. But why immoral?

Would you rape them if they were living? Would that be immoral? Its unconsentual, either way...

If they were able to come alive after you had sex with their corpse while they were dead... what would you say to them?

And no... no smart jokes like, "My penis gives life."

Hahhaha. I leave and I come back to this XD.

Time for me to leave again.

Ionno.. perhaps i just dont see dead people as having rights
When someone is alive you violate their rights by having sex with them w/o their consent
But when they're dead, those rights go away
And its only wrong to violate those rights because itd make their lives worse if we did
But once youre dead... it just doesnt matter

I mean, i dont see anything immoral about kicking a dead guy
And id never cremate someone if they were alive
The ethical rules change when someone is dead

I'm also not sure why we should show respect to a dead body either...
It seems more like a cultural thing than a logical thing
The person that was once there is gone and its their memory that we should rsepect/cherish
whatever happens to their body doesnt change how we remember them or who they were

Respect for the dead(people you loved, not hated) is pretty much a universal thing, when it comes to us humans, Ikerous. It seems to span all cultures. Treat them in death, as you would in life.

Over 8k posts :O Nice
And i meant more a human culture thing than one of just ours
I was just saying i dont necessarily see a logical basis for it
Rather, its just something that we do because our culture creates those sentiments
