What lines? Theres just random insults thrown all around and the only semblance of a reason for them is that hes a teenager, and you dont approve of themfolks.

i must be rusty on this internet arguing because i see no point in picking apart a post of its message, out of context, in order to nitpick. youre mistaken of a few things; no, i dont give a **** about social status, i thought you did. and i'll leave the rest of the staff to decide whether im a troll. im telling the guy to fly straight and wipe his own ass, yet you seem to lack the analytical ability to see the context instead of the words.

why i think youre living in a dreamworld? easy, youre expecting something off a random person off a stereotype that happens once in a blue moon. prejudice is human and perfectly fine. you have quite a few yourself i see. thanks for dropping that whopper on your family btw. never expected that. youre getting revved up over rational assumptions, i cant rly tell why, besides that you dont agree with them.

What was I expecting of him? =/

I was simply giving him some advice. I didn't harbor any illusions about his situation. I wasn't filling in any gaps by thinking, "Wow his parents are probably against him" or "His sister's probably completely in the wrong and he's a blameless soul." I didn't even once think that he wasn't having a teenage vent session because, well...it says right in the thread title! :LOL:

The only thing I did was give him some advice. I jumped to his aid purely because you were stereotyping him, for whatever reason. Just because prejudice is human doesn't mean you can go around slapping it on people willy-nilly. That's not how people should strive to be. That's not how you should model yourself. "Such-and-such is human and therefore perfectly acceptable in all situations" is foolish.

To say it again: I just wanted to help the guy. I jumped on you because you jumped on him, and I consider that unfair. He did nothing to you and you slapped him with a stereotype "because it's perfectly human" and proceeded to address him based on those assumptions. And you know what they say about assumptions.

up fast. anyway, i never made a single claim of knowing life or however you want to define it. just saying. theres no need to feel insulted by something that isnt true. also, communication breakdown.
 
anyway, i overreacted, and this discussion feels pretty silly. i agree about the prejudice thing, it was an explanation, not an excuse. this turned out rather bizarre, its very common for my sort of reply in sweden, and i tend to call it a dog if it looks and barks like one. it wasnt my intention to get hung up on the OP. peace

I've shared lots of things about my life on these forums. I'm open about it--it's what's shaped me and my perceptions.

Communication breakdown indeed. It really snowballed from the beginning, didn't it? I think the OP's gone, too. :LOL: Well, fun battling wits with you Harij, and no hard feelings I hope.

From reading the thread, you don't seem to appreciate most people input, but quite frankly, what they've put is the answer. It's highly unlikely you're going to kill her, and if you do, you'll be locked up, so it'll all be fine anyway. What you might want to do is pick her up and dump her in her room, or something similar. Lock her in the bathroom etc. Bathroom's always a good choiec for you, as you can lock it (assuming your bedroom won't lock). Music helps, whatever you might say. If you're into rap then I'm happy she's annoying you. But if you feel like that, then I doubt you do, because you would've shot her already. Sounds to me like you should go listen to some good old rock/scremo to calm yourself down.

As to your comment referring to maturity, most people her have been through what you've been through, and quite simply, know what it feels like, and know how simple it is to solve. This case really isn't that difficult, and if you want to get anywhere in life, you have to solve it yourself. Not by interacting with anyone else, but simply changing your mindset. It's like boredom. No matter how many people tell you "Boredom is just a state of mind", it's not going to help until you actually grow up, mature, and experience it for yourself. The quicker you realise that her annoying you is all in your mind, the quicker you'll personally mature. And the quicker you'll realise that the situation is not as hard as it seems. There's fifty million and one ways of sorting it out, and letting off steam probably isn't the best one. Whenever you "let off steam", you're actually doing the opposite, you're just building whatever it is, up, just in a more visible way. Talking to people is really the only way to actually get off what's on your chest, as what everyone wants (whether they like it or not) is a bit of attention, and someone to care. So you could either talk to your 'mom' (which isn't going to happen) or talk to a shrink (which isn't going to happen either). So you're going to have to learn to not be aggravated by the situation and just let her get bored (which she will).
