Im no gun expert but they sounded pretty awesome to me. All the videos that I've seen in Iraq sound close to what I heard there.

Im sure the larger machine guns and shotguns will pack some punch. ;)

Very nice video, but is the guy playing with bots? They all have names like C. Anderson.. and then his name is something completly different. Looks to me like he's playing with bots.
 
One thing, I cant find the 9 minute video but I found the 1 minute one (and I have an account btw). I liked it but the sounds just seemed a little bit weak. Also they better fix the fact that on bullet feed guns you dont see the bullets moving which is very noticable and will look quite ugly if you have lets say 1 bullet for example it looks like you have 100.
 
wtf was up with the sound?
There were constant popping sounds (Which coudn't have been gunfire, cuz they were way too frequent and loud, almost like static) :(
Is this a codec problem or something?
IF that is supposed to be gunfire then bloody hell it sucks...
Game looks great though :)

The sound did seem a bit weak but the effect was nice. Sounded like echos. IDK
Maybe it's because of the sound compression used for the video.
 
The pops and such heard throughout the vid was some kind of glitch. I wish they'd release a cleaned up version.

best video I have seen (and I been keeping tabs on BF2) BY FAR.

brilliant quality, brilliant sound... this just re-ignited my interest in the game.
 
I was never too fond of BF1942. If I wanted to have fun in planes, or go drive some things, I'd play. Couldn't ever really get seriously into it. Seemed too...i dunno. something. But this looks funner, dunno why, it pulled a Counter-Strike: Source. Same game, better graphix, few new things.

I love the "idea" of what Battlefield is about... they have not (in my opinion) executed that idea well enough yet, however with each iteration/expansion/release they get closer to what it should "feel" like, if this video is any indication, ragdolls have been much improved, sound is getting there, and the graphics are nice and sharp... what impresses me most is that when he jumps from the top of a building to a lower rooftop, HE DOES NOT DIE/TAKE MASSIVE DAMAGE!!!

hooray I do believe they are getting the idea. (who likes getting killed from walking down some stairs anywhoo?)

but seriously, the combat looks a ton better (weakest part of the series)... no blood but Im sure a patch will sneak it's way in after release.

Sniping takes two shots?!?!? WTF The sniper is easily the deadliest thing to infantry but with 5 shots to a clip and two shots per kill it makes him a joke.

Also, whats the deal with getting on the back of a moving humvee at 40mph?!?! The thing should atleast have to stop, would mean there would be room for an animation as well for christ sake.

Oh yeah, explosion radius of destoryed vehicles is a joke. If its enough to VAPORISE a T80 then it should be enough to OBLITERATE ANYTHING near it.

Oh yeah, and why are tanks so fricken god like? The guys inside must be working overtime with the reload rates those shells come out at! With that sort of ability it takes away the whole idea of tanks in formation with infantry escort, esspecialy with the turn rate of that turret!!

AND whats the deal with the iraqis with red dot scopes?!

AND why do medics get M16's?!? They already carry a crap load of medical supplies, they should have M4's gawd damit!

FINALY! If Operation Flashpoint came out when people had decent internet connections then this game wouldn't exist as its 10 times the game this will become at this rate. Don't get me wrong, I hate Flashpoint, it's still crap :)

Thank god, that's one major plus.

The most annoying thing in the previous BF games was getting your tank almost destroyed by hitting a little rock not bigger than a wheel on a car.
 
is it just me or are the peeps the guy on the video is shooting at morons? I mean they run in straight lines TOWARDS the player ..the guy is mowing them down

They're bots Stern. Thats how much they've improved the AI. :D
 
those are bots? ...ok oh ya I should have seen the similarities between their behaviour and the AI in bf42/bfV ...they do seem a little more advanced ..at times in bfV I could run up to an enemy AI and stand in front of him for a few secs before he would eventually notice me ...other times I'd get hit from across the map
 
It's amazing, definitely going to buy this one :)

Gameplay hasn't changed though, tanks get raped faster than anything else, and I can assume choppers will come out on top once again.
 
Cool vid :)

I'm glad that snipers don't kill in one hit. I bet they do when you get a headshot though which is a good thing.

I was hoping for more vehicle combat shown (planes, helos, etc) but we can't have everything :p
