New date for hl2!!!!!

Today a clear statement went from valve through the round in the USA. Therefore they promise to bring the Game to REAL on 12 November 2003 in the USA on the market. Whether that is again a Marktgag? Does not look thereafter really out, valve let this announce official.

This seems EXTREMELY unlikely. CS:CZ is due out on the 18th of November and it just went gold last week. I think these guys got HL2 and CS:CZ release in non-U.S. locations mixed up.

Edit: err, that made no sense as they said the 12th. Seems like on non-U.S. release of something, but not half life
 
erk, I doubt this is the date, seems pretty impossible if CS:CZ is out on november 18th, they did say it would be released before hl2.

I hope it is real though, that would be brilliant news, well sorta, I'd still have to play it on my old Gf4 until I get a new card, which one I haven't a clue now after hearing about nVidia's plans *sighs* well I shouldan't grumble, it was only a few years ago that software rendering was the only choice and Quake was still a id dream

Anyway as far as the release date goes, I can't stand the torture! April, November, argghh. I don't really kow anymore, but I think it could be that website confusing the condition zero game with HL2, as Mr Fusion said.

someone email planetHL2 to ask them where they got their info from and how reliable their source is

The news article says NOTHING about Half Life 2 in it! For all we know it could be CS:CZ, the article does not specifically say Half Life 2. Plus, they talk about Colin McRae Rally, so its not a solely Half Life 2 site!

I dont know thats like saying planethalflife is not a Halflife page either. I went there it is a HL site. As for the information contained who knows. They did say VALVE so it is at least a Vlave sponsored game.
 
Just had a person translate it. Apparently it is HALFLIFE 2. They refer to it as "The Game". Since the site is a HL2 site we can assume it is HL2. They say they do not want to loose the customer base to the stolen copy that is out there hence the announcement. They go on to say this is not rumor and it was also relayed to the US site Gamestop.

Maybe the guy/girls are big Colin fans dont know. they have a whole crap load og HL2 stuff and the site is http://www.planet-hl2.at/hl2/

Although as i look around I get suspicious because of the size of their forums. I know size doesnt matter... Ive been seaching for a common Gamespot link for news and cannot find one. Is there another gamespot besides gamespot.com?
 
as much as I would love to believe this, it doesnt seem plausable..

1) its before the release date of cs:cz
2) cs:cz went gold already, which means hl2 to meet this date would have to have gone gold already
3) valve hasnt said hl2 has gone gold, and they said they would (valves mute abilities withstanding)
4) I dont think valve is worried about loosing customers to the beta, because thet would be like dell worried about loosing customers to people selling dell cases (ok painfully lame example, my appologies)

and i repeat,.. i would love for that to be the firm for real release date.. but i cant beleive it, till i see it.

I think it's nonsense, why exactly would they lose customers to a leaked, buggy and totally incomplete version of the game? Anyone who played the "beta" will still buy the game, altough I do not approve playing the leak.
 
Some not. Many will say: Oh I played this HL2 demo thingy and it sucked. Like the graphic is strange and only some locations are pretty. It wasn't fun (and don't realise there is no story, there are many bugs etc.)
 
no way its out for 12th, maybe its gold on 12th, that would make sense.
