New James Bond

On a side note, omg :x What a horrible Bond.
 
We will just have to see. You have seen him in the Hulk, Troy and BlackHawk Dawn.
 
I know. He was awful on The Hulk.. and I can't say I remember him too well in BHD.
 
He was very good in BHD, in Troy he wasen't that Bad.
 
Yea, well, Clive Owen would have been better.
 
I like Eric Bana very much! (He even speaks german ;)) But I can't really imagine him being James Bond, he's just not the right type of guy.
 
Bond has been going downhill sharply since goldeneye, I can't say I care much for any of the new ones. One of the old ones is worth ten new ones imo.
 
I love pretty much all of them; ok, apart from 'Die another day' which I didn't love that much... Bond's one of the only still working old-fashioned concepts today.
 
He looks alright for the part. But will his accent be good...?

of course, its not hard to turn from an australian accent to an english one
 
Watch Brosnan clips before he was Bond, people thought the same thing when he came around (but I guess anything is better than Lazemby/whoever that dude was.)
 
you guys should find an old episode of "full frontal" the comedy show he was on. he's so funny.
 
The castle was one of the best movies ive seen...

And full frontal is hillarious...

But i'm sceptical of him being james bond... maybe though
 
It's allways the same when they change Bonds, is like now, when they say James Bond, you automaticly think about Pierce Brosman.

Eric Bana is great, I dont really see him as Bond though... he makes an awesome gritty character like in BHD

I thought he was pretty good in Troy, wouldn't mind seeing him as bond. I hope the next few movies will be better then the previous three...
 
Eric Bana is a good actor. His role in "Chopper" was excellent. Absolutely amazing.

He will make a good Bond.
 
Chopper...Thats what it was called. Yeah I thought that film was great, I didn't realise it was him until he was interviewed on the telle actually...
 
That is utterly disgusting, he isn't even bloody English. Clive Owen would of been far better, well, anyone could be better then this idiot and Pierce Brosnan.
 
as long has bana cuts his hair a bit, and just composes his face to be a bit sharper, i don't mind him saying "Bond; James Bond"

Most of the people who have played James Bond haven't been English. Australian is about as clsoe as any of the others...Well maybe not geographically.
 
we'll never know until we see one of the movies, im sure if he couldnt pull a bond they wouldnt have picked him.

what i dont like about the news in that article is how they are trying to "moderninze" and "stylize" bond to fit the younger generation. i take this as a sign of bond going down the tubes....like star wars once they made episode one.

they might as well say "we are selling out to MTV" and cast p diddy as bond.

(btw, im not making a direct correlation from "stylizing" to mtv and p diddy, but the end result will be about the same quality).
 
I have my suspicions, we all know how much the other Bond Movie with an Australian as Bond sucked (I am Australian, so I am allowed to bag them OK?). I think it definately needs a brit as Bond, hopefully he will develop a British accent first.
