new series of Doctor Who

I just watched the new episode amd I can say without a doubt that it was easily the best episode of the season. It started off terrible in my opinion but this season really picked up after the family of blood episodes. I did not expect the master to appear this episode :O although I do have 3 little qaulms:

1. what about the Mr. Saxon from the previous episodes? If the true master was locked away then what was the deal with him?

2. How did the master return after dying in the movie??

3. I thought the Master used up all of his regenerations? WTF? O_o

1. Squiggly Wiggly Time Wimey.

2. No idea.

3. A sly move here I think, in that they can then give the Doctor more regenerations if the chameleon arch "resets" the number.

OO! Granted if that happened I think they would mention it (or maybe they will later) because it would be pretty important.

I still have yet to see any episode of this series but the Shakespear Code. I keep missing them for a different reason every week. Looks like UKTVG is my only hope :(

I simply haven't been arsed to watch it, but I was told last weeks was really good so I watched the repeat and low and behold, it really was quite good. I'll watch the new one tonight.

I always knew the master was going to come back into it. I didn't think it would be in the episode Utopia, but I knew he'd be in it. Not too sure about John Simm playing the Master, I mean he'd be a good Doctor, but I don't think he's quite right for the Master.

The new episode was god like!!!!! Also good that they explained how the master came back. I can't wait for the finale!!

Actually I did notice one thing if the beating of drums is implied to be constant then why hasn't it happened or been referenced to in the old series?

I quite like the master. Wondering what those spherical things are though, they don't seem to fit with anything we've seen before.

Wonderful, fantastic!
Loved every second. Loved the reason he came back to life after the movie. Loved Simm's performance. Loved the glimpses of Gallifrey.

What are the Toclafane really? A Time Lord fairytale certainly. 6 billion of them regardless. As long as they aren't bloody Daleks again.

What is the TARDIS Paradox Machine going to do? Does this mean the TARDIS will have a new set thanks to its butchery and the explosion seen in the trailer?

Surely there is another link between The Valiant and Archangel. And what are the drums signifying other than a darkness? Could the darkness be the same darkness mentioned in They Keep Killing Suzie that was to engulf Jack?

Yes, Outpost Gallifrey forums are down, hencewhy I am posting here :P

Yeah they are really slow and when you make a new topic it's at the bottom of the page and no one notices it! :flame:

Does anyone know why the doctor's hand aged after the master's regeneration?

How can the doctor age?

Anyway, that was a very good episode. Loved John simm as the master, he's awesome.

I figured the Paradox Machine thing was simply to tear the hole in the sky to allow to Toclafane to come through - perhaps from "the vortex" or whatever. Time Lord fairy tale = monstrous death machines? Hell yes!

How can the doctor age?
Well, it's a machine that affects biology, not time. It ages his body a hundred biological years, not advances his body through a hundred temporal years.

See, I thought the Paradox Machine would be solve the 'kill your grandfather' problem - The Master plans to change the universe in a big way, and the machine stops that from affecting his own future (which would affect his ability to come back in time and change it etc).

There's always something in the new Dr Who episodes that bothers me beyond belief, even in a great episode as this one. This time it was the stupid, bad-looking aging of the doctor. Otherwise it was very rather good, and I especially enjoyed the glimpse of Gallifrey.

Well. That was...er, different to say the least.
What a crap ending. Sorry, I just had to say it. And making jack the face of boe was silly, it ties it up into a neat little package sure, but its still silly.

It was better than most episodes but ultimately i was dissapointed.

Also the master in some stone ring thing? Jack as the face of boe?? the titanic crashing into the TARDIS???? WTF? O_o (I swear their cliffhangers are getting worse each season)

Better? I personally thought it's the worst finale yet, and the otehr two series' finales weren't up to much.

No by better I mean it was better than most episodes in the third series. It was easily the worst finale so far.
