As it is right now I foresee delay...if it's a couple weeks no big whoop...but if we're talkin november im gonna send gabe a flaming turd of an e-mail
 
No news means this game hasn't even gone into development yet....

All I can say is that the multiplayer part is ready and working.
 
I just cannot stand playing the waiting game like this. I'm dying for new information about Half-Life 2 but something tells me we aren't going to get any until Friday, and it might end up being bad news.

quik: is the train currently on the track thats all we need to know. if you can't tell us about the train, then you dont know.

he makes perfect sense, if you can't tell us anything about the train, you really don't know anything about it, but vice versa he has information about the trains destination but he has to guard it with his life, therefor he can't divulge any of it, its a endless cycle
 
they need trust alright Krusty, because they need david copperfield to pull this off i think...
 
there are no consequences for divulging information about this train. after all im just referring to a generic train on a track and a generic station called station #930
 
I don't work for Valve, nor for Vivendi. I'm simply a partner who will deliver files via Steam and host Steam games when HL2 will be out.

When it will be out? I can't tell. All I can say is that the multiplayer part is READY (Yes, READY) and it's WORKING (Yes you can play it, kill monsters etc).
 
Erik Johnson has been on almost all day, he's been going into and leaving servers regularly too. Weird.
 
Well I hope this train stops near my place... So is it arriving on 9/30 ?

exactly, and if he really was not a valve or Vin- employee he could tell us without compromising everything, hell when i betaed SWG we had beta testers tossing out information secretly all the time, this guy is openly declaring he helps, and will help with Half Life 2, now then, if he is going to help, he would help us, but of course, he won't, because he does not know :cheers:

And also by just saying what he said on page 3, he already compromised his job, therefor if he knew anything, he would speak it out, for he is already "screwed" as you could say ( he is hinting that we are going to be happy, we can only be happy on 9/30, so therefor he blew it for Valves cat and mouse game but of course, i still don't think, he knows anything )
 
For playing Beta's, you clearly know's that I can't say anything and I won't. There is a lot of money involved in this partnership, as I bought 2 servers for it. If I lose the partnership, I won't be able to cover the cost of the servers. This is important for me.
 
alright quik. so assuming this is the truth. why come on the forums to tell us that you can't tell us anything.. did you not see this coming? that people would be pissed off for hearing something like this? what did you intend to accomplish?
 
well yes doing tons of beta tests for multiple games and MMO's i know what to say and what not to say.

but i was not that great at keeping secrets to my friends :D

I'm not gonna hand you a nobel or anything, and I'm taking what you say with a heavy grain of salt.
But if anything about it is legit its good to hear.
