Official Bad Company 2 thread - no beta talk here!

damn you people for making me interested in this... I just bought it.
 
All i know is that i enjoyed the beta. I couldn't care less about reviews.

I agree 100%.
Anything is fine for me, I have a good enough connection, plus the netcode is ACTUALLY ALRIGHT in this game...
 
I think the graphics blow MW 2 out of the water, especially when you max Bad Company 2 out.

Also the complaint about the matches ending abruptly is pretty ridiculous. I mean who really gives a shit?
 
The only complaint I have about the MP is that it needs the god damned surf rock theme back.
 
Wow I've only just found out about this. I didn't buy the first as it looked average but this looks a lot better, I've been looking for a proper team based epic multiplayer game for a while and seems to fit the bill. Will purchase and join you guys! :D
 
I don't see myself playing MW2 very much past March 2nd...

As for the server, I'm willing to help pay monthly if it's located on the east coast (sorry everyone else, your internets aren't good enough).

so gutted i can't play this next week because of uni. seriously cannot wait to get home in three weeks (for obvious reasons also) to get really stuck into this.

I wish people would stop using the word epic so ****ing much. First time I saw the game say "EPIC FAIL" on an accidental suicide, I just about smashed my face through this window next to me. I even did my first ever non-gameplay related rage-quit because of it, thats how pissed I was. If its at all possible, i'm going to find a way to mod those words out of the game. And I swear to god, if they have one of the characters make a old, shitty internet meme reference in the campaign, I am going to swim the Atlanic ocean and punch each of the writers in their jaws.

somebody call the prose police, we have a grave injustice in progress.

All this does is let the developers create a more integral bond between the market and themselves. Your battle should be with us common folk;after that, real progress can be made. :thumbs:

Looks like the retail version already got leaked a few days ago. Apparently, there are still performance issues present in the game. I wonder if the performance patch that DICE released during the beta was applied to the retail version.

i can juggle work and entertainment just fine (sort of...), it's just our ports in halls of residence are blocked when it comes to online gaming.

You have no idea. I hear those two words so many god damn times each day and I HATE IT. I'm not talking just limited to the internet where I know retards live, but in real life where every day I hear co-workers say "hahaha thats so fail" "oh my god fail" "you fail" "I fail" "epic win!" I battle the common folk as well. I've told people at work to find better words, and that their "jokes" are several years old. It just doesnt ****ing help. They just don't get it. Yesterday someone was rickrolling everyone in the office. I almost quit my job yesterday.
 
Pre-load today I'm hearing? Also if you had not noticed, there will be a bit of BF 1942 in this game. ;) There was also a comment between 2 characters in the jungle level. The 2 characters were talking about their favorite kills from the Predator movie's. :D We also need a image for the group and a poll to see how many people will contribute to a server.
 
IGN gave it an 8.9, saying it lacked epic feel and the campaign was too short, and you should basically only buy it for the multiplayer.

Hmm, what other mediocre SP game that was too short had you playing an FPS that you pretty much only bought for the MP.

MW2 much?

Instant purchase for me. Dice have an amazing engine and their MP games are always unbeatable. Battlefield 1943 is testament to that; most downloaded thing on the PSN's history.

MW2 can eat it compared to this game.

Lots of explosions and last-second getaways. Also, preferably, flags. American and British, for starters. Moving in the wind. Epic.
 
I played MW2 for roughly 2 months straight so I feel like I got my monies worth. but this time around I'm getting BC2 on the PS3. i have more friends that play this type of game on the PS3 and my boss might be pissed i'm not getting it for the 360 but **** game loads and skipping. i love how the bluray disks last longer and are nearly scratch resistant. that and the online is free
 
I like that the first mission will be a flashback to 1943 with you fighting Japanese as B Company of the old.

good way to crowbar in the props/environments from 1943, then. will be interesting with the pacific coming out in the next few weeks - i know for one that once i've seen the first episode of that i'll be going straight back to 1943 for some plane flyin' shenanigans.

man, 1943 was a great dlc.

The only way to explain epic is to be there or imagine it.

Sitting in the tree line, waiting for a jeep/tank/anything to drive by so I could rocket his ass. I hear a tank coming. Perfect. He pulls up shooting away at the building behind me. I notice 2 engineers sitting there on it's ass just repairing away. I charge up behind them, and use my "Repair Tool" to kill both of them, then use the repair tool to destroy the tank. The guy jumps out at the last second, so I pull my rocket launcher out and peg his feet. He flew into the air and I book it back towards the team.

Played a demo of it. Sucked because of controller. I was contemplating getting it so i could see the "story" and characters before this one came out, but then i remembered it wasnt on PC and I wasnt interested anymore.
 
game uses exactly the same formulas as bc2, ima sum up with you just suck at learning things outside of your comfort zone.

Yeah no one gave a shit about the first one although it was a pretty decent game. Now this one is the second coming of Christ just because it's available on the PC :D . I'm glad they made it for PC though and it's not a crappy port like most games today.
 
In case anyone has forgotten about "Veteran" status in BF2 you can add it to your EA account here:

Just login with your EA account details (the same ones you use to login in to BC2) and from there add all the information for the BF games you have.

A veteran status of ONE gets you access to the M1 Garand. Not sure what the higher points get you.
 
Gets you the Thompson I think. EA needs to fix their ****ing stupid ass website to let people link their xbox gamertags and EA Classic names to their accounts.
 
My keys from BF1942 and BF:V are supposedly taken. This sucks.
