Official Xbox360 Unveiling - MTV

It's tonight, guys (if you're american, i'm not)

So, would anyone do me the honor of using this thread to tell me how awesome this unveiling is? The show is on at these times - be sure not to miss it.

I'll have to wait till tomorrow to catch the unveiling on MTV UK, but still ... I'm open to spoilers from you Americans :D
 
mmm that is sat @ 6-9 in the mornin, (next day guys)

11pm USA = 9AM UK
 
In Sweden it'll be tomorrow, 22:00(10 PM).
I'm assuming it'll be something similiar for the UK.
 
Perfect Dark Zero footage so close that I can taste it. Gahh.

I'm egar to see hwat next gen will look like... but what i'm really hanging out for is the PS3...

My times I posted were in EST timezone, which I think you might be in, I forgot which part of Kentucky is EST and what the other portion is. :rolling:

I bet that xzibit will be the host

and sure he will mention something about his name and the xbox360 like "yo I am x to the z xzibit and this is the new x to the 360 xbox360 yo"

Anyone know if the MTV event will be uploaded to the web? I just so happen to have a clan match tonight at the same exact time of the showing, and I can't watch it.

I doubt it will be uploaded officially, atleast not until after the global TV screenings have finished ... Best bet is to look for it unofficially, as i'm sure many people will be recording and uploading it.
 
Yea I'm DVR recording it, because I'm sure I'll miss it :p I can't upload it though :(

It will be very cool event though! :)
 
am i smoking crack or is the MTV special not on? its 6:43PST here, 9:43 ET, like they said, yet it is not on
 
I'm watchin it O_O, so far not really anything new, cept for if you didnt see the leaked pictures.
 
Just saw it, very unimpressed with the graphics. It's certainly not the leap I was hoping for. Perferct Dark 0 certainly looked better than anything out on consoles now, but I'd be hard pressed to say it was better than Half-Life 2 or other top PC games. I was expecting the kind of leap we saw from PS1 to PS2 but in reality it looks like a really beefed up X-BOX. Hopefully PS3 won't dissapoint.

Umm...
No offense, but..I expected "better" gfx and well....more "unique" features within the controller and the system. Really it just seemed like.. Xbox with better gfx..wireless..and a virtual place where you can get more money taken away from you.

I mean.... I would have rather of just watched Chronicals of Riddick or South Park...
Guess the Ps3 or Revolution gonna have to do it..
Overall in the end...there just seemed to be no real innovative features.
 
the design of the xbox360 looks very imiliar to the ps2

maybe microsoft thought that will sell
 
Well that was shit. I enjoyed the 10 seconds of xbox360 footage, the 10 minutes of a gay band, and 20 minutes of commercials, (LOL IM YOUR UNCLE :| ). I also liked how the cameras didnt stay on the actual game footage for more then 2 seconds. But it was esepcialy cool how just about every game they showed ether looked like complete crap or was pre rendered. And lets not forget about the fact that it looked like perfect dark was running at 1 fps. Good job MTv.

Oh dear, you just made my sarcasm detector explode.

Guess i'll just have to wait and see what the actual performance of this thing is. From what i've seen so far it's awesome.
 
when is it gonna be on in canada i heard about it being on Cmt

Not sure if they were running on final specs in the demo's, I doubt they were.

They have an alpha developers kit of the Xbox360. It contains only two cores (not three) and has half the GPU power that the final will have. They are simply using an off-the-shelf ATI top-end card, and the final one will be double the power!

So, that might solve the problem! ;)

I thought the show was okay... Definetely not amazing (I mean a freakin' half hour show for the total "revolution of gaming"? Come on.), so if they would have gotten into details, and not just given scarce details and a HUGELY general overview, then I would have been more happy.
 
I think it's hilarious, there's these other forums i post at with a games section, and everyone's an xbox fanboy. They're going berserk, it's hilarious.
 
I was most impressed with the few seconds of Madden they showed. The rest of the unveiling was weak.

It's on Friday at 12:30am on CTV.

...and I hope to God that it is different than MTV's airing. It sounds like it was complete crap.

Hey people, check out gametrailers for some cool 360 videos. The destructable environments in Full Auto look pretty cool. :bounce:
