lol, It really is not to cold when you get out there and start running around and jumping over stuff, You will warm up real fast

Yeah.. The only problem in my opinion is the slipperyness when things are wet. And usually there's no snow on rails and in playgrounds and stuff.

Assortment of jumps from a PK map for HL2 I'm working on. Grabbing on to ledges and such actually works, through clever (actually pretty simple) mapping.

Ha, that's awesome dude! Keep us posted please :)

yeh your not kidding. You should have seen me last night.... I tryed to jump a bench and when I landed I sliped and fell

I think I might head over to my friends house, he lives by a public park and there might be some decent pk stuff there i could get up to, a good place to practice landing and rolling.

cool, I know when you start you will love it just incase you did not see my previous post here is the rolling and stuff

http://www.urbanfreeflow.com/fundamentals/fundamentals.htm
That will tell you how you should roll land and all the other stuff to be a good parkour

In any case, this stuff looks great.

Come springtime, I am SO trying this out.
If you start now come spring time you can just go through town like there is nothing to it. And it will be easyer in the Spring time because of no snow on the ground. Therefor you will be even better

Hey Thesomeone, I was just wondering what is the highest you have ever jumped from. Everyone else that has tryed this so far can answer also. My highest is 8 or 9 feet

I'm not sure exactly. I have jumped from the roof of my house, which, I would say is about 8 or 9 feet.

Today I'm going to a friend's and we're going to practice parkour. It's nice and sunny here so that's great.

lol, I can't stop practicing. I have been out in town all day just jumping stuff and rolling around. And now I cant stop watching that video

Yeah I love this stuff 2, wish I didn't spend so much time on this pc, I might be able to do some of this stuff if I got of my arse.

Just wath that video that will be enough to make you go out there and do some amazing stuff

Bahaha. Well, atleast you got the bawlz to try. I'm too much of a pussy.

Oh now come one, Trust me it is not that bad. When you get out there the 1rst thing you do you will be like wow that was not that bad then you will get more and more risky about it.

i tripped over the sidewalk once, not getting on it from a curb or anything, just tripped and fell. it hurt. and i am a klutz, parkour = death

Oooh, multiplayer, I forgot about that. HL2DM should work... (The map is currently HL2)

Would it make a diffrence in my preformance if I got some Parkour shoes rather than just using New Balance running shoes?

God loves Vans.

I have wanted to do it for at least a couple years now but I am almost never in a city that has an urban terrain capable of letting me try it.

When I am not in university though I often try it in a very limited way using the forest in my backyard but there isn't much I can do with it.

Went freerunning in rich-suburbia where my friend lives. We went to his primary school and there's an insane amount of things to do. Great fun.

My friends and I used to do a joke version we called "Extreme Running". It was just stupid fun, nothing like this. We'd slide down railings on our shoes and the like. The best was we'd always have another friend following behind, miming holding a video camera in his hands.

Well then you would be good at this

I've quite often wanted to try this but there have always been two problems:

- fear. I know you've just got to try, but something in me isn't comfortable with the idea of attempting some of this kind of stuff - I need to learn to just let go.

- Urban terrain around here is not exactly perfect. In fact, it's rubbish.

I did used to do something called 'footboarding' which was taking the piss with a skater friend and literally just doing AWESOME SKATEBOARDING TRICKS...without the skateboard.

Omg me too! I was just walking there with a friend, stepped off the sideway, for some reason my foot flipped and BAM! Fell.

Do I jump fences, climb trees, and generally jump about sometimes? Hell yeah

Do I make a sport out of it, jump on a fad, and call it 'parkour'? Nah....
