Yeah, when I said I was leaning towards photoshop as an explanation, I meant as opposed to a film prop (not a real life mobile armour suit). There have been some pretty huge props built in the past, although these days they'd probably do it all in CG.

If you have a toy or something yourself that you could photograph from any angle it wouldn't be too hard to find the right balance of focal length and scale so that it would fit into the perspective image. Alternatively the people in the factory might have been working on something that looked a bit like a giant robot and someone subly altered the details. It's very well done if it is a photoshop, judging by the fact that it's aparently motiveless (why the low quality) I'm now inclined to belive that it is some sort of model/prop/coincidence.

I doubt that this was done is PS, unless it was done by a professional... it's pretty damned convincing . I've been using PS since I was 12 (almost 5 years, now) and I know for sure it'd be a huge pain in the ass to put so much work into such a small image like that... :-x
