Woah. So you're Korean?

No wait, I'm just going to assume that you stole somebody's identity and their social security numbers so that you could play the game.

3/4 way through a F.E.A.R.-o-thon:

Hey there little fella! Just passin' through.

Dude... been nice knowin' ya.

Is that from the expansion packs?
Yeah, these two are from Extraction Point. That scene in particular was horrifying the first time I saw it. Like I can't breathe and have to stop and turn the lights on scary.* I'm just finishing Perseus Mandate now.

*I'm probably considered a wimp when it comes to the caliber of a game that scares me. Doom 3 made me jump more than once. The underground levels in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. SOC gave me goosebumps numerous times. That scene from Extraction Point (especially in the context of the rest of the game, playing with the lights out and whatnot) was genuinely terrifying the first time I saw it. I still wince when I play through it now, but that first time, well, I'm glad my bladder wasn't full.

I agree, that scene from Extraction Point was pretty damn scary. Then again I also tend to get scared easily.

Perseus Mandate:

Alma finds their lack of faith disturbing.

No spoilers, but here's one of the monsters unique to Perseus Mandate. They're super easy to spot and avoid, but if they catch you off guard, you're in for a cardiac event.

D: That does look creepy.

Have you played the original Condemned by any chance? I consider it the scariest game I've played to date, and would highly recommend it otherwise for the gameplay.

Gears of War in coop is awesome fun.

Dom/Marcus manwub is the source of perpetual amusement for me and my brother.

A shame these beautiful environments are, well, wasted on such an inferior genre.

Dead Space
Playing it again to catch up on the story again:-

How do you take screenshots on the 360 and transfer them to the PC?

Ahh yeh makes sense. Ahh most of my gaming is coming from the xbox at the moment and there are no means of capturing some epic moments :(

Well, I know there is a way to do it, but it requires a couple of extra cables and a few other parts.

Emporius knows how...

I haven't, but I've heard this elsewhere on this forum. What's the story? I don't suppose you have screenies?

I'm afraid I dont.

The story is a bit difficult to explain off the top of my head, but you are a crime scene investigator who is attempting to track down a serial killer who kills other serial killers (I'm pretty sure). Although this game does have its "BOO!" moments like FEAR, I found the atmosphere of the various levels to have a much greater effect. Also, you rarely have guns in that game (unlike its sequel), meaning that most of the combat is up close (which can be harrowing given the creepy designs of the enemies).

EDIT: Here is an image I pulled from a website

I found Condemned far too slow paced to be scary, I mean it was just TOO slow. I was getting bored in the levels with the speed of your characters walking, was quite a disappointment I thought.

After some Googling, Condemned 2 looks quite good, but it's only for consoles at this time (right?)

It is slower than most games out there, but I felt that was the point. It allowed you to soak in the creepy atmosphere, and extended the dread of going further into the level, hell even around a corner (enemies will sometimes choose to hide and wait for you to get close instead of just charging in).

Also, I wouldnt get Condemned 2. It was a bit scary, but nowhere near as scary as the first one. The plot in that one made little sense, and I had a hard time caring for the protagonist anymore (he somehow turns from being an ordinary cop into a homeless drunk prick). The combat was decent, but they threw in way too many guns, and there are even some parts in which you are in a shootout, which for the combat system just feels very clunky.

IMO the first one is better, but if you are still set on the second one I suppose it could be worth a rental.

Didn't you find the house in the countryside pretty freaky?

Don't think I got that far, I have been meaning to sit it out and get it finished.

That's a great example actually of how the slow pace can be effective.

The basement of the farmhouse is pitch black, and slowly walking down into the darkness just KNOWING some freaks are probably waiting for you was creepy to me

(Not really a spoiler, just explaining a certain section of the house)

Well I've got it for the 360. I've been meaning to sit it out anyway, I hate leaving games sitting, even if I feel indifferent towards them. I will admit it was creepy at times, and the combat is fun.
