Actually, how about you reread the article you are referring to: http://www.bistudio.com/developers-blog/arma-2-the-name-tale-2_en.htmlActually, the name is ARMA 2, they changed it from ArmA to ARMA with the second game, ArmA stood for Armed Assault, ARMA2 doesn't have Armed Assault in the title, in fact ARMA is a latin word they felt was more 'original' instead of simply Armed Assault. It's all explained somewhere on their website.
ArmA 2 is completely acceptable, not to mention it looks that way in the logo.It is interesting that Arma is written in many forms. ArmA 2 looks quite nice and creates a stronger link to Armed Assault for those willing to see at least some English origins in every name. ARMA 2 or ARMA II is not bad either, esp. considering the logo we chose. I myself prefer Arma 2 the most as it is following common standards for writing names but I still like the other two variants.
The game is quite intensive, but really I don't think it's that horribly optimised. My system is only a little bit better than his and it runs pretty damn good for me, at 1920x1200. And from what I can see I have my other settings higher than his, too. Also, it running crap is not surprising, I wish Bohemia would make a new engine from the ground up instead of just continuously retooling an engine that's over 10 years old.
Do they have flying mounts in Azeroth yet?
Wow, did Stalker really look that bad?
Ahh the black colour scheme was the way forward ^^
